CDW & Ray Allen Donate Computer Lab to Boys & Girls Club
October 03, 2019

CDW partnered with Acer and NBA Hall of Famer Ray Allen’s Ray of Hope Foundation to donate a computer lab to the Boys & Girls Club of Miami-Dade. The donation to the club consisted of a full suite of technology including Acer desktops, monitors and notebooks as well as gaming and esports-specific technology for the students.

This technology donation marks CDW’s third to Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the country, with CDW previously teaming up with clubs in Los Angeles and Phoenix along with NBA star Chris Paul and PGA TOUR pro Gary Woodland. CDW also previously partnered with the Ray of Hope Foundation, whose mission is to assist with sports-related, community-based programs and provide avenues of opportunity through which our youth can “hope” to realize their full potential.

At CDW, the focus is on bringing together the right people, partners and technology solutions, both in the company’s business and its charitable giving and community involvement. This donation serves as a reflection of that focus. “We all share the common belief that kids need access to technology. Tomorrow’s workforce will require technology skills. So, the sooner you can get kids access to learning tools through technology, the better,” said Ben Weiss, vice president, vertical markets, CDW.
