By the way not you need to expand your job roles I am retired but need cards for volunteer positions.

Avery's Clean Edge Business Cards, in particular its 8871 cards which are white two-side printable cards are what got me to exploring the current line of Avery products. I was asked to design a logo, layout some basic business forms and produce a small run of business cards for a start-up business. Money was tight and while the business owner was initially considering a basic two color card, one ink color printed on colored stock, I presented the owner with the option of a full color card printed on 8871 stock which featured photo-realistic graphics, a necessity given the nature of the business. She was sold the moment she saw the prototype card. Avery's 8871 cards allow me to print as few as 10 cards at a time, front and back and every one is the same as the first. This sort of technology, computer driven printing technology, permits the little guy (or gal) to make a great first impression on a budget and it affords them guilt-free flexibility to revise their card as needed. A start-up company may not initially have a website to promote, or maybe hours of operation or a phone number changes... no problem. Print small lots. When change is needed little is lost for few if any cards are thrown away before the updated version is ready. 8871 cards from Avery are an essential building block for getting the word out about your business or organization. And to think, I used to cut cards, one card at a time, with a craft knife and a metal straightedge! Progress is good, especially when it saves you time and money.

They are easy to use and format, tear apart smoothly, and the finish is complementary to our logo design and colors. The ability to choose to print on both sides is a plus, too. I have used other brands in the past and run into issues with the cards coming apart in the printer. The Avery ones did not do that. I would definitely buy more when we need cards again.

This allows the students to look up the verses and place the card ahead so they are not flipping and flopping while we wait, wasting time. I love using MS Publisher with these to prep with identity formats making them look professional.

I put my info on the front and a map of my schools on the back because the schools I served were very hard to find if you didn't know where they were. The colors were bright and clear and the cards didn't smear after printed. The edges were clean and the cards broke off without a problem. I love these cards. And they are affordable.

I know I'm supposed to review this product only, so first will say the business cards are very easy to work with using the template and look just as professional as you could wish for! The colors are crisp and the text is precise! You won't be disappointed! But I also must comment on Avery products in general. I always look for them first when shopping as I know I will get consistent results and that I will get my money's worth. I say this as yesterday I was looking for a particular product but the office supply store did not have in stock the Avery version and as I needed the product in a hurry, I tried another. I was not satisfied with the results and now know to either look further for the Avery product or order online!

The cards just "pop" out when you're ready to put them in you pocket or where ever you keep them to hand out. I only print as many as I need instead of having to "order" a min of 1,000. The back of the card prints just as brightly and clearly as the front, and they never jam my inkjet printer. Whether printing portrait or landscape, alignment of graphics and text is easy because each package of these cards consistently lines up on-screen in my graphics program or at the Avery Design and Print On-Line site. The weight of these cards is comparable to some produced by professional print shops. With good design Avery cards easily rival professionally printed business cards. I have folded, stapled and spindled them and they always pass the test for professional grade.

I can print various cards that showcase a representative photo of weddings, graduations, sports, portraits, families, babies, etc. My contact information and photo are on the front, while an introduction of the business is on the back of the card. The cards look as if I had them professionally printed. If I could not print my own cards, I would have to settle for one standard design because of cost.

It's a great way to customize your cards for specific meetings, events, and uses. I use the back side for brief profile information for career networking, product info for sales work, and services I offer for my consulting work. The software is relatively easy to learn to use. The only improvement I'd suggest is to allow printing text within a text box in different colors, bold or regular, and italics, to allow emphasis on certain words in the text.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In the same class as commercially printed cards. Avery's 8869 Clean Edge Business Cards happen to be a particular favorite of mine. It's what I print my cards on. I'm picky (within reason and the predictability of 8869 cards is all the reason I need. My card is printed front and back. See accompanying picture. The front features art with a full bleed (on all four sides) while the back is a block of text that's centered and surrounded by a uniform margin of 'white space' on all four sides. Once I got the template for my cards worked out every card I've printed with it has been identical to the first, owing to Avery's consistent production standards. The clean edge technology of Avery business cards is impressive and reliable. The simple 'snap out' action used to remove cards from the sheet stock on which they are printed works 99.9% of the time which is more than I can say for the consistency of the materials and methods I previously employed to produce small lots of business cards... a metal straightedge and a craft knife. Having worked in and with print shops most of my professional life, I've produced and handled a lot of business cards. I like the finish and body of this particular product which is to say it produces cards that are in the same class as commercially printed cards.

Two possible uses would be for teaching vocabulary and another for creating puzzles. A third could be for crafting projects.

No more "box of 1,000 biz cards" that always manage to be outdated before getting through the box. I love how these cards print to the edge and the matt paper truly is a nice bright white. The best part is that you can make just one sheet at a time or more than one. This way you are in control of what is on your card in case your infomation changes. The templates are easy to use also.

Put the pack away. Two years later I have it out again, hoping that the design tools have been improved. Still not able to navigate or easily put my logo into the area. Avery says "100% satisfaction Guaranteed" with no contact information to do so.

We use these to create operator cards for our forklift drivers, and little cards to give to new employees with our contact info and their ID number. They look really sharp and are easy to make. My only complaint is, if you print on the wrong side, the ink will never dry and will smear all over the place! (Learned from experience. Also, white is not really a true bright white, more yellowed, like an antique white or cream. I was surprised and pleased at how clean the edges are after separating them. You'd never know they are punch outs.

Will definitely recommend this product and no doubt will purchase again for myself!

I use the Business Cards to make a personalized "Thank You for your Business" note along with leaving his phone number for future business. While most people might leave a larger thank you note, these cards are easy to use, come apart nicely and are compact so the customer can tuck it away easily for future reference. Great Product.

Using Ink Jet Business Cards was a breeze and the neat part was I could print them in the colors that we had already used on signs, flyers and tear sheets. And they really looked professional: clean edges all around, no smudges and crisp. Why buy business cards when you can design and print them the fast and easy way? If designing is not your forte Avery has some excellent templates to follow.

While it would be cost prohibitive for us to make all of their cards ourselves it is a great welcoming touch for the new team member and lets them get right to business. The cards look great and have a thick quality feel to them. My boss was so impressed when he saw a set that he will often ask after meeting a new hire if I gave them their first set of cards yet. It always seems that I've run out of my professionally printed business cards right before an important meeting or a business trip. With these Avery labels it's no problem to quickly print off a sufficient number of business cards so I have enough to distribute to prospective clients or colleagues.

I usually don't use a template, but set up the cards to be centered and the correct size with no spaces between (like the actual page). In theory these should print perfectly, but in reality they don't. The first couple of cards are pretty good, but the bottom cards don't line up at all. I end up changing my file to match what comes out of the printer, but it shouldn't need these adjustments and the final file LOOKS WRONG. Not sure what's up.

We were in a pinch, so I purchased these business cards to make temporary cards for the advisors. The quality was excellent and the product template was easy to use to design the cards needed. We ended up with professional looking, quality cards that we were happy to hand to our clients.

Having the availability to alter our business cards to focus on a product group or wholesale client is preferred over any cost savings from having hundreds of generic stock cards printed. These business cards are a smooth edge, and take ink very well for small illustrations. I always have this product line in my office so I may instantly print off a new run if a client requests a stack to "pass around".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Think again before buying this You may think you are buying a quality professional linen stock paper, but you are not. When you print them it looks fine, however as days pass by the business cards start to arch and it is no longer an straight card. You feel embarrased to distribute them since they are arched and when you place them on a table it just wont lay down flat, it looks like a wilted leaf. I contacted Avery and shared this issue with them and they did send me another package but it did the same thing, so it is not an issue of control or damaged business cards packages, it is what it is, a poor quality product. Not to mention other issues while printing them as many times it would over lap the text or cut it off and send it either at the top or bottom of the other cards, a mess! You are better of printing your business cards in a local professional printer which at the end of the day it will also be cheaper as you do get more business cards and greater quality.

I needed to bring 150 business cards to exchange with others. I had just a few of my old cards left. With a handy package of #8873 cards, I designed and printed the entire package in 15 minutes for the specfic conference and trade show. The quality of the cards were superior to those left over from the stationary shop. The cards popped apart without a single loss and printed color and added graphics perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO Frustrated The "enlarge" button (next to the X button in the top right corner) wouldn't work, which made it impossible to make the screen big enough so that I could choose the template I needed (no slide bars were available) for business cards, template #8371. Incredibly frustrating! I used Photoshop to position the cards properly, wasting lots of cards, and eventually getting all but the bottom two to print properly.

It does not have a coating so it is fully recyclable though I hope my clients pass the cards on to their clients and friends. I just wish I could put a recycle label on them.

But then they snap apart in a jiffy and are thick and nice to give out. I have tried other brands and they are flimsy and take a long time to seperate from each other, they do not have clean edges either. I like the Avery better than the ones i had printed at the printers!

When I go to networking events I print a fresh batch of cards. On the backside of the card I print the name, date, and location of the event. Later my new contacts have a way to remember where they met me, and hopefully what we talked about.

I design "laundry care tags" for various knitting, crocheting and crafting specialties and sell them online.They are specifically designed so they can be printed on this Avery business card #8371. In the sales information it is recommended that the folks who purchase the art, purchase these business cards as well. The edge is so clean! And the weight is perfect. The color prints beautifully--very vibrant. Which makes my artwork look good. My customers can also print their own comments on the back, which is very handy for their own businesses. Ultimately, I got the cards to print correctly but only after painstakingly modifying the template, and even with the adjustments, there is still some margin of error of 1-2mm sometimes. Despite the low cost and easy punchouts, after this pack I may just use standard card stock and cut the cards out manually.

They print out great & I really like the "feel" -- the thickness. They feel like the business cards I've had from print shops. Also, I print only as many as I need instead of having to buy 500 or 1,000 (which usually go to waste & I can change them any time I want to. This is a great product & easy to use!

Having used other Avery products and having confidence in their quality, I purchased the blank cardfs and was able, with my limited computer slkills to design and print business cards within the hour. Since then, have changed phone number and was able to immediately have new cards with my new number. Not only has this product saved me time, but has helped me look professional in my business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very versatile I have use these cards for many different projects: "give away" coupns; fancy labels on homebaked goodies; prayer requests; cards for flowers; insirational cards; etc. The only problem I've found is when it comes to printing on both sides. I'll have a program set up and it will work fine, but when I try to use it again I have a hard time getting the second side to line up correctly. This is very frustrating. If you mainly want a one-sided card these are excellent.

I am now using them to print out a pain scale that we use with the children. I can them laminate the card and have the student to slip it in the back of their name holder. This way, they can simply flip their badge around and show the pain scale to the child. So much easier to use this scale instead of spending time trying to find one on the unit.

My clients see me as personable, caring, encouraging,as well as a knowledgeable trainer. I need to mentor new clients to be the same. Very important, they must dress for success, and always have a business card to give potential clients. These cards print flawless, clear print and beautiful photos. They snap apart clean, with edges only seen in the past, by a professional print company. The finish for the cards is not too shiny, but has the look of top quality card stock. I LOVE my new business cards. And I love to see the reaction of the new client who receives it.

I use Avery templates in Microsoft Word so changes can be easily made. I also use the cards as business cards for my and my wifes business.

Due to the nature of their work I can't buy large quantities or they would become outdated and dogeared. With the Avery products I am able to economically make a sheet at a time for them. They seperate easily and look professional when I am done. Good product for someone that doesn't need 500 cards at a time.

I did the alignment on my printer several times, yet there are some cards that were off center (printingat the bottom of each print job. All in all, a good product but this problem should be remedied.

At first glance, I thought the sheets looked like any other and I thought the directions on them were unnecessary because surely it was not that necessary which side I printed first or bent them to tear. Boy, was I wrong! After finishing all my printing, I started separating them and was really impressed at how easy and clean the cards looked. They look very professional and I will be purchasing these for my own personal use at home.

The clean edges make it a breeze to snap off a bunch of cards with very little effort. Because I can print in smaller batches, I can update information on the cards very easily. I have not previously used both sides of the card, but that will be my next edition. That gives me one side for information and one side for advertising.

I have tendency to change the design of my cards and add new information which could cost time or money using a third party. I also use these as part of my packaging which allows me to add merchandise as I go. I am only limited to the number of cards on the sheets so I don't waste them. Being able to print on both sides allows for my company logo and item information to be printed on each side.

I used the Avery Business Cards to printout a picture of my grandson on one side with a message to contact his grandparents using contact info printed on the other side in case someone noticed him wandering around the neighborhood unattended. Also the cards can be peeled apart to allow someone to use the sticky sides to paste on a refrigerator door. Thanks Avery for helping to make my neighborhood safer for my special needs grandson!

I didn't like using the downloadable template. For some reason it didn't match up well with the lines. I ended up using a template from a word-processing program I have. When I did that it lined up great and printed real nice.

I used the online printing and it was impossible to get the images to print correctly on the page except for the very top two images. The rest of them did not fit correctly on the page and there was no way to adjust the distance between each row of cards. Also the colors are dull, the images did not fill the card and the image did not maintain the ration even when I chose this option. It may be possible for me to print on my own but this would take a long time which at this moment I do not have.

Much cheaper than having a card designed and printed by someone else. The software is extremely flexible, and allowed me to create a card that looked just like I wanted it to look, including my own custom logo, it also contained exactly the information I wanted to share with my customers, and best of all, it can be changed as often as I need to change it. New phone number? No problem. The card is stored on my personal computer, I can simply open it up, change the information, and re-print my cards in just a few minutes. And because I print them myself, I can have new cards ready to hand out the same day, no more waiting for 3 weeks while they are printed. This is the ONLY way to make business cards!

I've been using Avery products for 25 years and have never had a single problem! Very simply: follow the directions & Avery's suggestions especially this one: "Print a test page to see if the alignment is correct before you print on the cardstock." I usually use Word to design my cards & when printed the images are clear, the color is brilliant, the text easy to read, and since both front & back can be used I can put a little more info about the elements I use in my pieces as well as my contact information. I also use them for earring cards designed/printed in portrait which has details of the earrings & of course my info; I fold the bottom edge to make a display stand if the earrings aren't too heavy it works out beautifully. Sometimes we're in too much of a hurry to do things, you'd be amazed at how uncomplicated things get if the pace is just slowed down a bit. just saying...

In 7 years I've moved 7 times. Moving so much precludes getting large batches of business cards. I can print what I want with the current information at the time.

You need to follow the directions to punch them out. I am using them as membership cards and thought I may have to laminate but they are strong enough as they are.

These business cards allow me to include my artwork, specific product info (eg. gemstone type and weight), and price. By creating small holes for the earwires to go through, I can secure the card to the products, and each product has an individual card (so price swapping can't happen!). My vendors love 'em!!

As a small token or gift to officers that graduate I have made them each about 20 business cards. To get them startedÛ This way they can be professional when they have contact with the community and not have to purchase the 500 that the agency offers, which is at the officerês own expense. The second reason is that my husband is also an officer and he likes having business cards too. Since on any police dept you can be transferred at anytime, purchasing the 500 that the agency offers is often a huge waste of money. This way we can just print off what we need and go in and change the template to another division if he is transferred. The business cards are ready for him to have as soon as he is transferred there is no waiting to go through the agency to order them and then having to wait weeks for the delivery. These cards make it very easy to do so and have helped land several clients just because of the personalization.

I purchased these Avery business cards instead of the generic ones that were on the shelf. I'm so glad I did! They came out great and the software was a lot easier to use than I expected. This is the best solution for a Snow Bird I've ever found. I have a duplex capable printer and printing cards is a snap. I can include name, address, phone number and images for each side. When someone asks for my address or telephone number, I just hand them a card. It's easy to carry a few in my wallet and saves looking for a piece of paper to jot the information down.This is the perfect product for me. The directions for use are quite easy to get started and because of the clear & very concise directions, I was able to print up dozens of very nice, professional-looking cards that are printed on both sides. My friends and associates can't believe that I did my business cards to suit me, especially when they see that the backside is also printed. They keep asking me how I did it. And when I tell them how easy it was, they can't believe and can't wait to try it for themselves. With so many templates available, I find that I use these business cards for personal use (such as calendar reminders for a movie night with my friends), for semi-business use (such as a quick and handy reference tool for my study students that lets them know what to study as well as my phone number) and finally as an attachment to my resume when I go to job interviews.

Before I found Avery's Clean-Edge business cards, our product was very cheap-looking and had frays of paper stuck to each one where it was torn from the other. The quality of paper was very poor and the color just didn't turn out well. My 2nd grader could have done better. Once I tried Avery's product, I was hooked for life. Now we can make professional grade business cards without the professional price! Thanks to the makers at Avery,I can easily print out and use templates from the website. They were very a multi-functional and compact product to have at her fingertips while traveling around the Bay Area while interviewing for that perfect job. Also, each set you can puchase from a catalog may not be the exact picture the child is familiar with, so being able to customize cards -especially for speech sounds like 'th" and the r-blends is wonderful. When you work with students in groups, also it is sometimes tough to play games often so the 2 cards per set is not always ideal like the box sets. With these cards you only need one, and you can also reprint any that may get lost. You can also send home the cards that need to be worked on, without fear that it won't come back. These cards are also easy to laminate using some of the business sized laminating films available, so the cards can be cleaned and sanitized and the cards will hold up better, because they won't get wet. This product is a gem. Thanks.

Follow the simple instructions on the handy sheet included in the Avery package. The sheets of business cards go easily through an ink jet or laser printer. I use a variety of labels, postcards and much more that Avery has to offer, but the one item I believe that has made my life easier, is the "Two-Sided Printable Clean Edge Bussiness Cards". They are perforated in such a way that leaves a smooth, clean edge, and I can print them at home from my computer and home printer, and then simply tear along the perforation.Vualah! Instant bussiness/contact cards! I actually use them as a contact card when I need to give my address to someone. It's difficult for me to write it out all the time, so I simply print them up with my home computer and hand out these nifty little cards as needed. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Handy Business Card Fix For a few quickie business cards, this is the product for you. The smooth surface took inkjet ink well with no bleeding or smudging. Be sure and look at your printer's owners manual, along with the online instructions for printing so that you don't waste paper. I used scratch paper with arrows drawn on them to indicate which direction the paper goes for printing that second side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Template dead on, loading a little tricky The template I downloaded for the business cards was dead on as far as aligning the cards on the computer. It was a little tricky to copy and paste what I wanted onto all of the cards after I designed the first one but this could have been something I was doing incorrectly. It took me a few tries to get the paper loaded into the printer correctly but, once loaded properly, the cards came out great. The edges were very crisp and you couldn't tell it was a perforated sheet once they were broken apart. Excellent product and a lot cheaper than buying cards. I did have to load and print the cards one at a time since I was using a printer with a lot of turns and bends.

As a teacher I always look for inexpensive ways to make quality items. My latest use for business cards is to make a business card for myself with my name, school name, classroom number, email address and phone number. I laminate one inside each child's folder so parents see it every time they open the folder and know I am easy to reach. I also put them on magnets and hand them out a curriculum night for parents to put on their fridge or at work so they can always keep in touch with me or their child. I can change the card each year or keep it the same...my choice!

The perforations stay together well during printing but separate easily and cleanly afterwards. Cards printed on inkjet or laser printers will never match that raised feel of professionally printed cards, but these make an attractive, convenient substitute.

They print and snap out beautifully from the page - you can't find anything better for DIY business cards! Only issue I've had is alignment on my Xerox Phaser 7400 color laser printer (quite expensive one). As such I can only print 1 side full color and *MAYBE* one or two lines of text on the other side.

I was out of work at the time and needed contact-style cards to leave at job fairs etc., and these allowed me to present a tasteful image.

I tried TWO different printers to hope that one of them would not jam. NO. Each time it would jam up because the cards started to separate. Out of two packages totaling 180, I got 14 that I could use. That is completely unacceptable. I will never use this product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't Bother Purchased this for a quick promotion for my company. HUGE waste of time. Avery used to be great, but this wouldn't print right. The Online wizard printed such blurry images I couldn't use them, and they insisted that I used PDF's to print, which could not be adjusted in the margins. This was a problem start to finish. Tried to use the Word template, but again would not print. I was far better off paying a few dollars more and having cards printed at my local print shop. This was not worth my time at all.

When I only printed 3 from a sheet, I tried to use the rest a a later time, but it won’t go through printer like that. If your using for its purpose business cards and printing whole sheet they are great.

I did use a portion of the package as business cards - but, I also used them for cards to be used in a game, enclosures in gifts etc. The size, weight, and ample printing space are great.

I much prefer the smooth, matte white finish over a textured finish. This product is good to use as bookmarks with lamination and magnets with lamination and magnet backings.
