I only discovered it after the printer never showed up and I called the automated line. The company cannot give me any timeframe whatsoever how long it will take before the printer is back in stock. They have absolutely no idea. I did a lot of research before purchasing and really want this printer but don't know how long I'm expected to wait. Currently I am going on 1.5 months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it for about a year. After just over a year the printer began making a grinding noise and will no longer print. After a Google search, it seems this is a common issue. I have not had the chance to contact Cannon via phone, which is what their chat support told me I would need to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped working when printing from internet Printer was working fine but then stopped printing from the internet. It will print a local document (Word, Excel, etc. Canon tech cannot figure out what is wrong. We have done every diagnostic imaginable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not work after 3 print jobs Worked great out of the box. I used the wireless feature the first time. The 2nd time, the wireless connection did not register so I used the USB cable to print. Today I spent 4 hours trying to connect via wireless and USB. I was able to print 1 page and nothing after that. I had thrown the box away so there is no option for refund and there is a 2 hour wait to speak with a technician. Meanwhile I have a deadline. I wish I would've bought another printer. Never had issues like this. The price tags makes it sting more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch out for Canon’s marketing Canon says that a “feature” is that you can have 5 preloaded templates loaded and ready to print. What they fail to tell you before you buy the printer is that you can only load them from a windows device. The documentation that they ship is woefully inadequate. You have to really search the internet to fined the owner’s manual and even that is incomplete. There is an advance connectivity connector on the back that they give no information about. They don’t give any information about connecting the printer to an iPad directly via USB to lightning connector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Printer Purchased this printer on amazon for my home office needs. The printer was extremely difficult to set up. Wireless via iphone set up, ethernet, and overall set up took 2 hours. After set up, the printer quality was extremely poor. Would not printer a slide deck with graphics and color clearly. After 2 uses, the printer stopped connecting to the wi-fi and continued to ask for my wi-fi password which was extremely difficult to type into the small window. So surprised by how many great reviews. This product sucks! I am returning immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it For my needs, I find this printers abilities: Great: -Prints -Easy to open/set up (instruction wise -Do not need more than printer, paper and wireless media device (phone with camera - they should have that and wifi/bluetooth, camera with wireless connection, etc) Fair: -Fairly easy to operate as stand alone (I prefer connected to computer, but first used without one) -Does have battery option (I didn't get it yet, $100 extra) -Decently compact Could Improve: -Price (could offer discount if battery and paper purchased with unit, otherwise $200 for printer turns into $300+ for portable, don't need that bad at moment) -No card reader (my first picture printer is a cp800, does not have Windows 10 driver or wifi, only prints up to 4x6, more compact though and has card reader) -Paper tray - holds paper, but extended has a lip (part of overall unit cover system)

I thought it would be ideal for me since I don't print many documents (mainly FedEx shipping envelopes. The setup of the printer itself was straightforward. The main drawback of the printer is the WiFi setup: you have to be on its SSID to connect to it and print to it. This may be OK for people using it in a mobile environment but it's very inconvenient for an office or lab environment - I don't want to change my network settings every time I want to print. I may return this printer since this limitation makes it of limited use for me.

I have no feedback from Canon as to when my printer will be delivered. This is the worse experience anyone would go through.

Bluetooth to my Android tablet makes like simple as I'm in need of a printed BOL on the spot. I don't have a case for it, but it fits perfectly in a shoebox (not kids shoes.

I removed and reinstalled several times plus turning the printer off and on several times to no avail. I have always bought Canon printers and this is the first disappointment. I tried several web sites to get help and almost got scammed. Getting support and finding the correct web page was not easy. The first phone number was no good

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you don't print a lot, it will stop working I wanted to like this printer. It's low profile and general simplicity appealed and the print quality was great to start with. But after a year or so, the print quality went way down. Finally, it was printing only in B&W, no color. And then the black & white printing stopped, too. It was as if the ink jets were clogged. Won't buy again because I do not think I print enough to keep it working.

I use it for my eBay shipping labels and PDF printed data receipts. I like to recommend Canon update the menu system to be easier to select WiFi configurations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact printer gets the job done I was looking for a compact printer to use at home to print shipping labels and other documents, and this printer definitely fit my needs. The print quality seems decent and the printer works consistently as expected (no issues with the printer disconnecting from the network or devices unable to connect after setup). I didn't run into any problems with the setup following the online instructions, but connecting the printer to my home wi-fi network and getting the drivers/apps installed for each device that needed access to the printer was kind of tedious, hence the 4 stars. Overall, it seems like a reliable printer and I love the overall footprint since I am trying to save space.

I love that I can just print from my phone too. I had to re-connect to a different wifi two years later, no need for computer softwares, just did it from the device. Compact and does not take up too much space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only buy if you purchase extended warranty Well, I've been through three - you'd think I'd learn. Do not buy this product w/o some kind of extended warranty because it is going to break down. It grabs the ejected sheet of paper, pulls it back into the printer and causes major jam. However, more irritating is the fact that each one of mine ended up printing, to trying to print jobs but the sheets paper are grabbed crooked on the way in . There is no fixing it. Just buy a new printer different brand. I bought three cause I love the size and the fact easy to pack for travel but not worth the aggravation. Canon customer service - you'd have a better chance of talking with the man-in-the-moon

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great until it wasn't. Bought the printer 3 years ago for usage on appointments for contracts, was not a full time printing resource, maybe 15-20 pages a week, if that. Printer stopped printing clearl last week, almost 3 years to the day from purchasing it. All signs are pointing to a bad printer head, which is not a replaceable part for purchase, only if under warranty or under the extended warranty plan. A bit of a scambony if you ask me.
