Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst camera I ever hadI bought this camera last summer, to replase another Canon I had. But what a disappointment. The autofocus doesn´t work in dim and dark lights. In bright light it works about 75% of the time. I have got many good memories ruined because of this camera. I have several other Canon products that I am extremely happy with, but this camera is just garbage

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good camera but...We bought this camera for our daughters birthday this year. It’s a great camera and easy to use, but I think it’s crazy it doesn’t come with a usb cord! Like most people these days, we store our pictures on our computer and make photo books online when we want. Having no usb makes this impossible and is a real bummer. Had we known that when we bought (we just assumed it came with one like every camera does) we would’ve purchased a different camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AwesomeI bought this and I love it! It has awesome quality and auto focus. It is a great camera for the price! It works just fine for videos and pictures. It also has the affect to blur backrounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor AdvertisingNowhere does the write-up for this at Office Depot indicate the pictures/video can't be uploaded to a PC or other device. Office Depot does not stock this product - I had to pay for it and have it shipped and now I have to return it. I find it difficult to believe you don't make this clear to potential buyers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Camera for Small PriceThis is the best point and shoot camera for the price. It has a wonderful image quality. I also like that the battery is the same as in my previous ELPH that lasted for many years. I can continue using my old batteries as you can't have enough spares when you travel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from POOR AUTO FOCUSWorked good for a few months but now has trouble focusing. I have to shut off power and start again and is good for a few shots and does it again. I do appraisals and shoots hundreds of photos a week. going back to my elph 340 which was acting up with the lens not coming out sometimes. That's why I bought this to replace it. I have had canon cameras all the way back to FTB slr about 30-40 yrs ago. sounds like other people are having this same focus problem

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My "Professional" camera.I'm a traveling catastrophe insurance adjuster and I go through a couple of cameras a year. Climbing onto roofs, into wet basements, and through dusty attics takes a toll on any camera. So, I don't buy an expensive one; I normally get "last year's latest-and-greatest" point-and-shoot Nikon. But, while working a wind storm in the west Detroit suburbs, I slipped and fell from one roof onto another--about 3 feet--and broke the screen on my Nikon Sure Shot. I finished the inspection with my cell phone, but I could only find this Canon in the local Walmart.I take about 2,500 pictures a week and load them into insurance reports with descriptive annotations. So far, it has worked flawlessly for me. I've had none of the focusing problems that I read in the other reviews. And the auto macro feature is a delight. Each storm damaged area requires an overview shot to place the damage and a close up detail shot. I have to wait a second while the auto feature switches to macro, but after 10,000 pictures, it still works perfectly.Granted: the wrist strap was a royal pain to get tied onto the side. I finally made a small hook tool from a paper clip. But that was only once.Typical male, I didn't read the online manual and didn't find the data port until after a few thousand shots. I'd been pulling the memory card and downloading the pics using a card reader built into the front of my computer and charging it using that goofy wall plug bracket. When I found the USB port, I stopped saying bad things about Canon and plugged in an old cable from a Canon that I'd broken years ago, and Wow! I can download photos and even charge it, the modern way!I'm glad I didn't read these critical reviews before I bought the camera, or I never would have! Maybe I just got a good one and most of them are bad, but really...it's worked wonderfully for me.
