Epson SureColor P800 Large format Wide format Printer is rated4.48 out of5 by118.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup, excellent qualityFrom the perspective of a professional photographer, the P800 is a fantastic tool that makes me more money. Setup was very easy: remove 1,000 pieces of tape, install the ink and run through a quick 5 min ink loading process and a sample print page. That's it. I do recommend using a USB cable instead of wifi as it prints about twice as quickly. I haven't done my own printing in probably 10 years so I was very surprised at how good the in-printer color management is. If you have a calibrated monitor results will be very close to what you see on screen. The whole process is very fast.Speaking of speed, this thing prints fast! At 1440 dpi with high speed on, 8 1/2x11 prints are done in about 90 seconds. High speed looses a very minor amount of detail in the shadows so I only use it if I'm proofing but it's not so much I think any client would notice. For prints larger than 8x10 I print at 2880 dpi with high speed off for maximum quality (and quality is stunning) but 8x10 and smaller make no noticeable difference to the naked eye of clients. It's not a small printer by any means so you will need some room for it but compared to the darkroom I grew up with it's a compact way to get display quality prints to clients in minutes. Overall, very pleased as quality is superb, speed is much better than expected and my clients LOVE seeing printed proofs which increases my sales.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setupSo far, so good. Setup was a snap. Took about 30 minutes to install ink, align heads, and connect to WiFi. Bought this to replace my 5-year-old Stylus Pro 3880. Will follow up after I've had a chance to compare new printer to older one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WorkhorseStarted with a stylus 1500, moved up to stylus pro3800 and now the SC P800 over about a 18-20year stretch. (been here too long to remember) This series of printers have been great, a true workhorse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easiest setup ever, but....After you get past the 2-1/2miles of blue packing tape, this is the easiest printer / device setup I've ever experienced. It comes with a cost: compared to my old 3800 (which this replaced) this is amazingly plasticky and flimsy. If I use it as long as I used my 3800, I can't imagine not having to repair or replace a door or something. Epson Support, however, has always been a strong point. If that failure I anticipate happens, I feel Epson would stand behind their product....no matter how flimsy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from P800 SureColor Printer is Excellent ChoiceExcellent Printer. I was looking for a good printer for create photographic prints larger that 8X11. Everyone that I spoke with that prints large prints uses Epson printer. I took an expensive chance and purchase the new Epson P800. I was amazed at the quality of the images that I have created using the printer in the last 5 days since receiving the printer. The printer setup with my iMac was just a simple plug-in and you can start your printing of images. Both large and small images are beautifully reproduced from both Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop software. I highly recommend the printer who wants a new printer for producing quality photo prints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impossible to UseThis printer is impossible to set up and print on. We bought it for our office and every time I go to use it, I spend well over an hour resetting, reloading, and trying to connect my computer to it. We have six other printers in our office, all hooked up in a similar manner and we rarely have issues getting them connected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!I went digital in 1990 so you can only image how many printers I have bought until now. I own an Epson 7900 printer which is good for 24" wide printing but not so easy to use with smaller prints. After seeing this printer at the WPPI convention in Las Vegas, I decided to buy this model. It was the easiest printer I have ever set up in my life!! The first test print came out perfect and now I am ready to make this machine pay for its price. Could not be happier. Will have to wait several months to see how it holds up but am feeling confident in the quality I see in it now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the OutputWell, if a wide format printer is about making wide format prints then the P800 is exactly as advertised. I've had mine for a month now, and have used it quite a bit. It has given me no troubles at all. I have tried a variety of different papers and the output has been wonderful. I do wish Epson would get rid of their silly and wasteful ink switching!I bought my printer in Canada while there was a rebate offer in place, and had to fight to get my rebate because the date format used by the store was different from that used by the clearing house, and they thought I had bought it in June rather than September. I HATE REBATES!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Photographers PrinterThis is the primary printer for Images Linked, LLC. No other desktop printer comes close to the resolution and cost effectiveness of the SureColor P800. Having this printer is as valued as my Nikon gear.
