New features that I use daily are the wrist based HR for swimming, music features and the pulse oximetry, as well as the six data screens option for workout recording. The best feature for me is the increased battery life. I prefer the smaller watch face for my wrist size and appreciate that I can get up to 25 hours of "in use" battery life. The Fenix 6S is thinner and lighter than my previous watch. Quick and accurate GPS lock and other upgrades like incident notification and the ability to pre-load courses and workouts also stand out making this more than just a great daily smart watch. Highly recommended for the sport enthusiast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fenix 6S, great size!!!I have the Suunto Spartan for that past 3-ish years, and I loved it, but I have a small frame and the watch was massive on my child-like wrists. I've been wanting an equivalent watch, but without the size. I'd been looking at the 6S for months before purchasing it. Alot of the reviews comparing the Garmin and Suunto say both are good, but the brands are hard to switch from. I've only had the Fenix for a few days, and it's been a relatively easy change. The app supporting the Garmin is alot more informative than the Suunto as well. Overall, I'm very happy with this watch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sent it back after a few hoursThis watch was a pain for me. I really wanted to like it, but it wasn't for me. The music only pairs with services I don't have, it wouldn't pair to my Strava account, I had to wait on hold for an hour to get a Garmin account because it wouldn't let me register one, none of the watch faces in their app store worked. It was just a nightmare trying to make it work the way I wanted it too. For a watch that expensive I didn't want to put up with all the hassle, and pay for extra services to get features I was looking forward to.

I have the 6s so it’s a little smaller with great battery life and functions! However. It has been a slight learning curve from the 920 with less “how to” advice out there. I’m still learning!

I have had connectivity issues with it connecting and disconnecting from my phone and the garmin connect app. I love the features and I did find it relatively easy to figure out. I have a 50 mile race coming up and I’d like to see how the battery performs! Overall a great watch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but less comfortableI upgraded from a garmin forerunner to this watch to wear all day since I’m not a huge fan of the plastic watch look, and I love all the features and most of all the ability to customize data screens and see more data while running, but the watch is heavy and metal parts dig into my skin, and if I loosen the watch it’s too big and doesn’t read heart rate appropriately. My wrist is quite small though. I go between the 2nd and 4th tightest watch band holes.

It has a sleek design for everyday wear. so much data. So many features. It’s my first Garmin so there’s a bit of a learning curve. It’s not as intuitive as I would want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great battery lifeI got my new Garmin a week ago and so far so good. I had troubles syncing at first, but now everything seems to go smoothly. I’m still learning all the features (it’s overwhelming how many things it can do), but the PacePro feature is helping a lot with my trainings, as well as the vitals. Besides, I have only needed to charge it once in one week, although I have activated several features who would have drained other batteries in one day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multipurpose watchGetting back into running after a few years focused on cycling and was looking at options to replace my old forerunner. I work in an office setting that requires formal business attire, so in order to take advantage of many of the new features it would need to be an attractive watch. I purchased the rose gold version and while it is bulkier than a regular watch it is an acceptable timepiece for the office. The HR monitoring seems to be quite accurate and the sleep tracking is interesting if you can get past sleeping with something on your wrist. I've only used for running so far. It picks up satellites quickly and the display is very visible / customizable. I'm using run/walk intervals to train and the face is easy to see even when running in the dark. I purchased the additional metal watch band but haven't yet fit it to my wrist to swap out. That is a very useful feature if the nylon gets sweaty from a run and you need to air it out, I will be using that as the temperatures get hotter.

I was previously using a "smart" watch rather than a watch made for running and there is a significant difference. I am really pleased by the ease of use and overall functionality. I have found the detailed metrics to be incredibly helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Display tough to readI've had this watch for a couple days. So far I love the feature set - sensors, apps, widgets, case, band. It's just the display that is a struggle. Any smallish numeric or text characters are very difficult to see. Maps are a struggle to read, too. It's probably the contrast that's the problem. Size and resolution of the display are fixed, so if there were only more contrast. I've turned the backlight up to 100%, but the backlight is a dull, fuzzy blue, so it's still not easy to contrast with and distinguish the content. There weren't any Fenix 6's in local stores for me to try before I ordered the 6S Sapphire.

Tried multiple times to upload a larger font unable very awkward unfortunate. Tried tech support via chat didn't help So far. I like the watch otherwise overall feel weight fit etc

There is definitely a learning curve to this watch as it does so much and I’m use to a more runner oriented only watch. I wish the battery last longer and that more running dynamics could be tracked with the watch without having to wear a HRM. As a female HRM straps can be difficult to say the least. The look of the watch is fantastic and looks better dressed up than the FR630. I am also very pleased with the Incident Detection. Makes my husband and I both feel better when I run early mornings and/or on main roads. Looking forward to learning and using the watch more.

I watched a lot of YouTube videos on how to add applications, change watch faces, link bluetooth headphones, etc. I still believe I only know how to use about a 1/3 of the watch. It really doesn't have any site to go to to help so be aware that you will need to actively do your own research.The watch is great once you get a feel for it. It is a nice looking watch with a ton of features for working out.

I thought I had everything with the Fenix 5 but the Pro Pace feature, the Body Battery, and the maps really kick it out of the park.I'm in love with it and I feel like I can up my training game big time. Definitely a Garmin aficionada here! I recommend it to everyone!!!
