I have found the quality to be dependable and the pricing as competitive. Several time, I have picked up toner at another outlet and found the print to be light. I did find out that the cartridge had been on the warehouse for some time and was probably not the freshest. HP stands behind their products and has always been my first choice.

Many years ago, I bought 'other' replacment cartridges, but lived to regret it. They leaked inside my printer and made a mess. PLUS the company didn't stand behind them. I wasted SO much money (threw them ALL away). I ONLY buy HP. Besides, their service is OUTSTANDING...and delivery is SO fast! I only have good things to say about HP products.

Her use of a printer is only occasional so I've yet to install the new cartridge, as the old one still has toner it it. A message came up on the screen one day that she was running low on toner, so I ordered a new cartridge for her, but it could be a while before it goes into the printer.

I had not bought a new cartridge in a long time and didn't plan ahead so the cartridge I had installed was low on toner and ran out quickly. I ordered a new one and was surprised how fast it shipped and arrived, especially because I did this at the end of March 2020, when everything was slowed down by the COVID lock downs. This was a long manuscript (a full book) with lots of pages, and I printed numerous copies and so ran out of ink/toner again in a couple days. I ordered another cartridge (early April) and was again pleasantly surprised how fast it shipped and arrived. The cartridge was so easy to switch out and install and everything went great! I even appreciated how easy they made it with the ready-to-go shipping label to put the old cartridge in the box and ship it back for recycling or reuse (nice for the environment and I appreciate that). Great experience all around! It was even easy to find the right cartridge and order it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice to have a small printer I'm gradually printing out the electronic service manual for my 2019 Nissan NV compact cargo van. There are many, many 3 or 4 or 5 page modules to print out. I want to print on both sides so I'd have a blank side between most of the modules. So I'm feeding in the paper by hand. This little printer is hooked up to my second backup desktop computer. You only get 1600 pages and that comes down to 5 cents per page JUST FOR THE TONER. So this is not something you'd want for volume printing. I have a LaserJet Pro M501 as my regular printer.

The print it rendered was not nice and dark but rather much lighter than I am used to. My replacement HP85A cartridge now installed renders wonderful printing. Moral of story: Don't buy 'same as' products - stick with reliable HP products. Oh, and my HP Laserjet P1102w printer is 10 years old!!

I guess I will have to buy some toner and fill it myself. HP really dropped the ball on this printer. The cartridge that might fit it costs additional $10.

I chose this over inkjet printers that I have been using for years because ink prices have gotten so out of control. I enjoy using local business for my office supplies when I can, so I have been purchaing tonor cartridges locally. The print started getting lighter and lighter to the point of barely being legible. I had my local guy come out and check the printer more than once, and he could never find anything amiss. I was so close to sending it in for repair, but was hesitating because I've been there and done that with other printers ugh!. It occured to me that I should try the HP tonor first before going to all the hassles of return and repair. I have to tell you the very first copy I made with the HP tonor cartridge was perfect! This is certainly an instance where name brand proved to be far superior over generic. Thank you so much for your quality product and for solving my dilemma. In the Black again in Montana

I am presently attending college and the printer has become invaluable to me to print homework. Have been for at least a week. HP sends me these wonderful discounts but nothing to use them on. I hope I did not buy a lemon or have to buy from a location that bumps up the price.

I do recommend this cartridge for use in the 1102 series.(to the best of my knowledge it's the only one offered by HP AND I believe I get the best (worryfree) value for the $$. Tried some alternate products, but found the value less in either performance or features, or both! HOWEVER, I use this printer in my business. Did not realize until this day (Sept. 30, 2010) that I'm low (according to my on-screen prompt) on ink. "No problem", I think. I'll just get online, order a couple of cartridges, and they'll be here next biz day. That has been my experience for a loooong time with this company, I had no reason to expect an "OUT OF STOCK" on an item like a laser printer cartridge!! Now, I must use this printer with my business. The orders that come in require me to print 150 to 200 pages, or more, at one time. WHY CAN'T THE COMPANY ENABLE US TO BACKORDER?? (This item isn't on special sale, to the best of my knowledge). HP, if I'm mistaken, please let me know. I think we can all understand how stock can run out on some of the hot deals HP offers much of the time. Meanwhile, I must search local merchants tomorrow, and hope I don't get caught by time-critical orders and insufficient toner with which to print them. And probably spend more bucks, 'cause the stores know the 85A is the only cartridge that some printers will take. HP, I love you, but you made me feel so sad.

Less than the big box stores and free delivery! Arrived the next business day. No problems and worked from the very first job. No smears or streaks, good prints.

I thought -- "how could I go wrong?" Then I tried purchasing toner and read the reviews, and found the answer to that question.No toner available, with no estimated time of when it would be available. And it looks like this has been a chronicproblem for at least a couple of years.So I went wrong by purchasing completely useless pieces of equipment (it doesn't matter how many ppm these printers can print out if there is nothing on those pages). I can understand a temporary supply problem, but for this problem to go on this long is totally inexcusable.

I like being able to order ink directly from HP. The service is wonderful. The only thing that I don't like is it doesn't print color. I knew that when I brought it. I am still very happy with my printer and service from HP.

I have had my printed 12 days and I have bought 7 toners which is $400 and some dollars and cents. I had a Canon 104 and I got atleast 2000 sheets printed if not more and they cost a lot less.

The wireless setup was also poorly documented. This coupled a recent lousy customer support experience (they said they would call back and never did) lead me to suggest others stay away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brand name is the only way to go ~ When it comes to toner, you can't cheat on the brand of toner. HP toner is excellent, and usually yields beyond stated amount. I did have a problem when I tried to use a discount coupon and it didn't pick it up in the final total. With almost any online company, it is difficult to correct this. When I contacted HP they were quick to take care of the problem. Don't get suckered into buying the "just as good as" products. Clearly, they are not.

I went through two toner cartridges and printed less than 1400 pages of text. I´m agast with the poor performance of this product compared to other HP printers and other brands. I recommend avoiding any printer that requires the 85A toner cartridge.

But the last one that it replaced, while bought from HP, suddenly told the printer it was a used cartridge long before it was out of toner. The drivers suddenly refused to print after a couple of weeks of warnings. There is no recourse with HP. If this happens to us again with this cartridge, the M1212nf MFP printer is headed for E-waste, and a different brand will replace it.

I bought my HP printer from you years ago and yet you don't seem to have a record of it so I got no reward for the toner purchase although at times you do recognize the purchase. I used to print from my PC but now my ThinkPad is not recognized as a device although my Toshiba is. I downloaded and installed the necessary drivers but still I can't print on either the ThinkPad or the Toshiba. I returned the old toner.

I'm retired and at home and maybe print 2 pages a day on average. I have not had this cartridge for a long time and it certainly should print longer than this. I've removed the cartridge twice to bend it side to side and back and forth to get a full page of ink versus striped 'white' areas. This should not be happening.

We were told by HP that the carrier attempted to deliver to our house and we weren't there and so they dropped the package at the post office. This is odd since we were home all day, never received a notice of attempted delivery and go to the post office regularly to get our mail and the post office never gave it to us. When we asked HP for an explanation and/or refund we got different stories from different representatives and still haven't received a refund. Very frustrating!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great long lasting printer cartridge This was so easy to install. It has lasted for 10 years in my check printer at work. I do about 500 checks a year for work so it lasted a long time. Could not be happier with this little printer or the printer cartridge performance.
