Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyer beware--not compatible with some HP laptops I purchased this adapter for use with my HP Envy 13t (13-ad173cl) which should support USB-C Power Delivery. Unfortunately, this laptop is currently not compatible with this particular adapter. I suggest you try Product #X7W50AA instead.

Ser. people kept pushing me toward the travel plug, the tis 20 USD more and has a shorter cord. Works with my Spectre which also has a usb-c connection, but cost 20 USD less than the travel plug

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Regret buying two x360s, and power supply too I’m the wrong person to ask for a review but my HP experience has not been good. Basically I have two Spectre x360s that aren’t working. First one bought was 1.5 years ago will not charge fully; this is a common problem that many users are complaining about on forums throughout the Net; my warranty is over but this is a manufacturing defect from their Chinese suppliers so it should be a recall IMO. Power supply was purchased to make sure the charging issue wasn’t due to that ... it wasn’t so waste of my money. I bought another x360 and it is dead within a month’s time. I have laptops 20 years old that are still running so I can honestly say that this is the worst quality I have ever experienced with a company. There will not be another HP laptop in my future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely clumsy design making it difficult 2 pack The charger functions okay, but the design is extremely clumsy to snugly pack or unpack. This being a USB-C charger should have a detachable charging chord, and a design such that the necks of the cables naturally stove into the bundle when packaged, they stand out like sore thumbs and this could damage the cables in the long run. The whole accessory is almost as heavy as my Spectre X360 laptop. Not very aesthetic in design or function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Required Maintenance I bought this because after less than a year of normal wear and tear, the one that came with my laptop came apart where the DC side cable hits the housing. Of course you only get 30 days on accessories - no one puts a proper 1 year warranty on something engineered to fail after 6 months. I don't expect this one to last any longer than the original. They look and function exactly the same - if you're looking for a direct replacement for the unit that comes with a Spectre X360, this is it.

The only issues are in cord management and this why I give it a "good" features rating rather than excellent all around. Cords are thick and stiff, for sound safety reasons, but this gets in the way when the transformer has long cords on both ends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from does not come with the removable cordless plug I had to purchase another adapter to get the cordless plug that fits in the adapter. You should see the set together or at least sell the cordless plug separate so that the adapter does have to be purchased twice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Original replacement I bought this so that I could keep one in my go-bag and one on my desk. I love that this is so lightweight and compact. I would recommend this over any 3rd party 'equivalent'. I don't mind the weight of the extension cord and would welcome using a two bladed plug instead of needing an adapter for the grounded plug.

This device powers up my laptop quickly, is not too heavy, has sufficient cord length, and does not heat up too much when plugged in. I hope it will last a long time, and I think it will.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Proprietary Charger Isn't Recognized I bought this more than a week ago and it came in the allotted time window specified. It works as a USB C cable for my phone. Fast charge is indeed enabled on my phone with this cable so as a charger it works. However, the reason I got this charger in the first place was for my HP laptop. I've done some research that states HP blocks any third-party chargers. I never tested out those statements but decided to take other users' words and go with an HP proprietary charger. The real question is, does it charge, and the answer is yes. The HP proprietary charger does indeed charge. But the reason it isn't 5 stars is the fact that my laptop, which is HP, does not recognize it as an HP charging cable 100% of the time. I sometimes get notifications that state it is charging through an incorrect cable. Put another way, my HP laptop sometimes recognizes an HP cable as third-party. Now note, my frustration isn't due to anything I've read on the internet. That would be my fault for not testing any statements in the first place. My frustration lies in the fact that an HP laptop doesn't recognize an HP cable 100% of the time. I bought this for the price listed on June 24, 2020. This price can be check on an internet archve. Hence, I do not feel justified in any manner to give this product anything above an average. Simply put, an HP laptop sometimes doesn't recognize an HP cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laptop Charger This charger works for my HP Spectre x360 13 inch laptop. It charges fast and is pretty long, which I appreciate. However, it's less portable than my laptop. It travels from my home to my workplace every day, and I'm a little worried that the cord won't hold up. It was also pricey, but there's no other option. I ordered this one after my original white one wore out and stopped working completely (after 1.5 years). I was hoping to get another white one, but it must have been discontinued. I had to really hunt to figure out which one to get (and customer service was no help), but I'm glad it works!
