Best universal dock available today
We needed some docks that could work with new and old Macbooks and new and old dells. We had to be able to drive 2-4k monitors and ethernet. This works with Macbooks after installing DisplayLink drivers and works with Windows laptops with no extra steps. Power delivery is good at 85 watts. This is the most universal docking solution we found for the 4 different laptop platforms we need to support in our post pandemic desk hoteling office solution. We ended up going with the SD4780p docks because they have 100 watts of power for 16" Macbooks and high powered Dells.

Didn't work with my monitors.
did not work with my work monitors. Went through an entire day of troubleshooting with zero success. Gave up and purchased a Dell Thunderbolt docking station and it worked perfectly.

Docking Station nightmare
Do not purchase this unit if you plan to attach it to a Dell 5520 laptop. We purchased 6 of them to hook up to our newly purchased Dell 5520 laptops. The unit will cause the laptop screens to randomly go off and there are also times that you will loose connection to your network. If you are wanting to connect to a Dell 5520 laptop, look at the WD19TB docking station, it works great with this model laptop. Kensington has these issues noted on their site with a supposed fix that can be downloaded to update the docking station but it does not solve the problem and the folks on their tech. team are very hard to understand so we just returned units and purchased the WD19TB units instead.

Buyer Beware
Docking station stopped working after 1 week. Called tech support they could not fix it either. Piece of junk, do not buy it!
