Rated 5 out of 5 by from Honest Review of this Printer Overall a great printer, I looked at it, it`s abilities and capabilities, great to not need printer cartridges but at same time it`s only black and white, I would have preferred a color type printer. Not much in the way of instructions and you have to sign in to the right app to get it started, which they give a CD to install also which doesn`t work as well as app. After installing it was a breeze, pages printed efficiently and effortlessly, good quality. Overall a good printer with wireless printing, yet to see how long it will last.

It didn`t have difficult instructions or hard to navigate features, which makes it perfect for me because I am not tech savvy. The quality of the printing is great, even on cheaper papernit still looks high quality. It`s faily light weight for a printer of this size. It also fits easily on the shelf of the computer desk. Its a little big for someone that just needs a page here and there printed out. But perfect for people that do a moderate amount of printing. I didn`t experience one jam at all. I used it to print out a pdf that was 864 pages. It was fairly quick and never lost quality. I would recommend this printer. It is definitely going to replace my previous one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of Power in a Compact Design I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.This Lexmark Laser Printer was extremely easy to set up with simple graphic based instructions. Remove from box, take off key tapes, open body and remove foam from print cartridge, reinsert cartridge, plug in power cord and we are ready to begin. The onscreen menu setup is simple and guides you to connect to WiFi. I installed the disk prior to setup but this would easily have worked without the disk, as a plug and play once it was on the network. Once it is setup The printing is fast and pretty quiet, it can easily handle large documents in a flash. The print quality is clear and professional looking for text, this is not the printer for photos or color saturated graphics obviously. It did lose it`s network connection one time but this was easy to rectify via the on screen menu. This is definitely a high quality laser printer that would make a great addition to a home or small office environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High-quality, quantity quickly I`m an adjunct professor so mass-printing worksheets and other take-homes is a challenge when there`s a long line at the university printing center. Being able to print high-quality, mass-quantity from home is a game-changer. This printer is high-performance just like the bigger models, yet small enough to fit in my tiny home-office. It`s so easy to use, just for copies as well. Literally just insert what you want printed and hit the number of copies and its done. Has not jammed or made a printing error once. A great product that I would definitely recommend to anyone that teaches or needs high-quality, quantity quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, Fast, Quality Printer I really like this printer. Setup was EXTREMELY simple, and I went from opening the box to printing in under ten minutes. Setup is a breeze. As for functionality, once setup, you can easily print via WiFi connection. The print quality is really good, and it prints pages really quickly. There is no lag time either, although this could possibly change with a slower internet connection. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this printer- it`s a high quality printer that is perfect for the days when I`m working from my home office. I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone in the market!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer!!! The printer prints flawlessly and quickly. The ability to wirelessly print from multiple devices is my favorite feature on this printer. Connection of the printer to my Wi-Fi was simple via the screen prompts on the printer. A printer driver disc is included but like many laptops these days my laptop does not contain a CD/DVD drive. This was not a problem once the printer was connected to the Wi-Fi. I was able to connect the printer to my laptop via my operating system prompts for adding printers without issue. The only trouble I`ve encountered in the setup process was in locating the printer driver at the Lexmark website. It would be nice to see an improvement to the driver support process at the website in the future. Despite that hiccup in the setup process I would recommend the printer as it has performed admirably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lexmark for the WIN!!! I have had the privilege of being able to use different types of printers. I`ve managed a medical practice for a long time now. The machines we use in the office are mainly Lexmark machines. I am able to use my Lexmark B3442dw with absolutely no problem. The set up was fast and easy, It can be set up multiple ways. My best option was wired in this particular office but it has the ability to be wireless as well. It honestly could not have come in at a better time. With this virus everywhere our children are now at home and having to do school from home. I have 2 in high school and an elementary aged child. All of them have had to print documents so that they can do their work. Since introducing this monochrome Lexmark I have had no issues. The print is fine and dark. It prints seamlessly and it isn`t too loud either. I highly recommend the Lexmark brand in general. So far across the board they are the maker that I`ve never had any kind of problem with. Just in my work office alone I have 2 different Lexmark machines and now one in my home office. I would pick this brand over other brands without a doubt.

It shoots out my papers way faster than my last printer and the ink quality is really great. When setting up the instructions are just pictures I would have liked a simple statement to make sure we are doing the step correctly. Some of them were hard to know what exactly they were pointing to but after that no problem. It did ask for a pin and after looking figured out they just wanted us to make one up not a given pin. The only thing i would like to see is buttons on the front and not the top. Harder to see and reach for short people. Overall very happy with the printer.

This is an excellent printer and it`s very easy to set up...even for a girl like me who is not super tech-savvy. I especially love the size as it doesn`t overtake my office. My previous printer was very big and took up a good portion of my desk. This Lexmark printer prints very fast and the print quality is crisp and clear. I am always impressed with Lexmark and the B3442dw is no exception.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Printer I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.This printer was easy to set up using my smart phone and wireless internet connection. If you don`t have a smart phone this comes with a CD installer. Once this was connected to my wireless connection it was a breeze to get my computer to recognize it and to start printing. This prints in black and white only and it does not scan, fax or make copies. If you just need a no-frills black and white printer that fits about a half a ream of paper, this is a great match. My favorite feature is the double-sided printing capability. All I needed to do was select 2-sided from my word document and it printed 2-sided without me having to change any settings/flip paper at the actual printer!My one complaint is it will sometimes randomly not print when I tell it to. It will make a noise like it`s about to print and then nothing happens. I am not sure if it`s a wifi connectivity issue or what but it`s definitely a bit annoying. Overall a good quality printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Laser Printer I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinionThe printer arrived in perfect condition. The box is heavy duty and the printer was well protected inside the box. Removing the packing and physically setting up the printer was a breeze using the included picture instructions, right up to the point where the printer meets the PC.Setup proved to be quite the adventure. Neither of my laptops have a CD/DVD drive, so I had to go online and search for the software. I ran through the install which was pretty basic and unfortunately did not make any effort to setup the printer on my network. I tried attaching the printer to my laptop using a USB cable, but still no go on wireless network. After going round and round for quite some time, I went to the single line display on the printer and maneuvered through the menus and found the wireless network setup. With very simple button controls and a long WiFi password, this took some time, but I finally was able to get it onto the network. Lexmark needs to update the instructions for this printer. Setup was ridiculous and not for the faint of heart.Print quality and speedI started off with some small 4-5 page docs to print. Once spooled up, the pages began shooting out. I am used to ink jet printing and my most recent printer did a decent job of printing quickly (at least text based files). But this Lexmark laser printer blew my ink jet away with its speed. Each page seemed flawless with sharp, clear text throughout. Now for the real test: A large with 145 pages with a mix of text and images. Spool up time to first print seemed a bit slow at 18 seconds and then it would print a few pages, pause, print a few pages, pause, repeat. This went on until the entire file had been spooled, then it was non-stop page after page until it reached the end, not even slowing down for the images. In total, this print job took about 5 minutes. While speed is important, not if quality suffers. Well, I can tell you the quality was just as impressive on the last page as the first. I am even impressed by how well this printer handled the images. They are crisp and clear and, as I mentioned, did not seem to slow the printer down in the slightest. One final test: Duplex printing - a great feature to help reduce the amount of paper required. I ran a 50-page file through printing both sides so it reads like a book. Similar to the other large job, spool up to first page printing took about 14 seconds. Also, followed the same pattern of printing a few pages, pausing, and repeating until whole file was spooled. Now the difference with this printout is how it handled side two of each piece of paper. Once again, I was impressed by the speed that the Lexmark ran through the duplex print job. Overall, it took just over 2 minutes to complete. While noticeably slower than the previous large print job, that is to be expected do the extra steps of pulling the paper back in and flipping it. Also, like the other large print job, the quality remained high from start to finish. Both sides sharp and smear free.Bottom LineI am super happy with my new laser printer. This easily blows my ink jet away in both speed and quality. And while I had an epic adventure with the software / driver setup, hopefully this was more a one off and not the norm. I can`t imagine Lexmark would still be in business if very many people went through my experience. I recommend this printer for all your black and white print jobs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from REALLY GOOD BASIC PRINTER I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. Lexmark B3442dw Printer is a basic, black and white laser printer. It has a few good featuresit is solely a printer (no scanner/fax/etc). The print quality is excellent. The paper tray is a good size for the printer. The printer has a small footprint and doesn`t require much space. It prints the pages very quickly. It also features two-sided printing.No assembly of the printer was required other than unpacking it. Setup could have been easier. For one thing, it requires a sixteen-digit PIN which seems excessive. It would not connect to the WIFI without first downloading the Lexmark mobile assistant app to an Android phoneseemed very strange. There were no instructions explaining this. I tried to install the software from the CD that came with the printer, but it wouldn`t find the printer until the mobile assistant app was loaded to the phone which allowed the printer to connect to WIFI. It has been much simpler to set up other printers in the past. The printer appears to be quality-built, and the print quality and speed is excellent. The printer display is rather small but adequate. Once set up, the printer is very easy to use. I don`t think anything could be improved. Of course, I have not used it enough to judge what the toner life is.I would definitely recommend this product to a friend or family member. It is a high quality product that does exactly what I need it to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor setup experience Since my Lexmark B3442dw printer arrived it has been nothing but a headache. First, no setup/installation instructions were included in the package. The only software-related component was a CD, which neither my laptop or desktop have CD drives. I went online to try to find the appropriate driver(s) to install. Not only is my model number NOT available to seek additional support on the Lexmark site, the site itself is a nightmare to navigate. I called customer support who installed the appropriate driver via remote desktop control. However, anytime I would print, the background would be black. They fixed it over the phone, but when I hung up, it went back to printing all black. I called back again and they had to uninstall and reinstall the driver for it to finally print correctly. It works fine now, but I`m not thrilled with the value as I would expect to be able to print in color for this price. I do however like the ease of mobile printing. That was the easiest part to install.

At first I was a little daunted with the setup, as I read other reviews and it seemed a bit complicated. However, I`m happy to say this was not the case. I disregarded the cd it comes with, as I use a Mac. I did everything on the tiny little screen on the printer and was up and printing within 10 minutes. The printing itself is super fast, a bit loud imo. This is a great home or small office printer. Easy to setup. Easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prints well but setup was a little finicky Upon receiving the Printer, unboxing and starting up, there was an error message. A piece of foam needed to be removed from the toner cartridge. This wasn`t very clear, as the instructions were only a series of vague pictures. Unfortunately the printer did not come with a USB cable either. Once the foam was removed, it says to download the Mobile Assistant App to setup the Wifi. This proved to be more challenging than expected. First, for android, there are two different official Lexmark Apps, and only one is the correct one, so choose wisely. The app has you connect to the printers wireless to setup your own wireless. Unfortunately, the app has a 2.5 star rating on the Play store. The app continued to spit out an error message, and was at times misleading. sending you backwards, instead of forwards, once you complete the steps. When the wifi was finally setup, I was able to print wirelessly through my Computer and Android phone (by adding the ip address of the printer directly into my pixel 3xl while on the same wifi). Prints fast and does what it is supposed to. Print documents. Decent contrast for a laser printer, which wasn`t anything spectacular. Spit out 300 pages of taxes no problem. Easy to load with paper. No jams. All in all, a solid printer, once you go through the rigmarole of the initial setup which was NOT very user friendly.

Prints great black and white quality rather fast. Its pretty compact and fits perfectly on the corner of my desk. It was a bit tricky downloading the software but once I figured it out, I`m very happy with it. Definitely does the job and would highly recommend for basic printing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, wireless laser printer workhorse... This is my first experience with a WiFi printer and I couldn`t be happier. No more getting up from the couch to connect the laptop to the printer in order to proofread hard copies of work/school documents. A major bonus for me, personally, is the ability to print documents from my smartphone (via an easy to install app) - no more need to email pdf docs to my PC, and the manufacturer provided CD made installation super simple.That said, the Lexmark B3442dw is a solid (23.2 lbs), monochromatic laser printer that encompasses just a small footprint at the corner of my desk. The print quality is crisp and clear, even when a small font size (8 or less) is utilized for citations, endnotes, etc. Charts, graphs and even coloring pages I printed out for my grandchildren were sharp and clear, also. The main paper tray holds almost half a ream of paper, which is sufficient for at home/small office use, and the drop-down tray supports address labels, decorative or legal sized (8.5 x 14) paper and envelopes. An optional tray is available which will hold a full ream (500 count) of paper. The ecologically friendly duplex printing option saves paper (and forests). The Lexmark B3442dw is also exceptionally quiet; the first time I sent a document to be printed, I had to get up to ensure the print job was actually completed - and sure enough - it was!!In summary, if you don`t need additional bells and whistles like a scanner or fax, this printer is a fantastic, mid-priced, basic workhorse - ideal for home, student, and small business or office use.

The set up instructions were essentially pictures but enough effective pictures to get the printer set up without too much difficulty or delay. I would have appreciated a set of instructions on how to get the printer set up and running versus just doing trial and error and using the pictures. Once I was able to get the printer up and running I was able to connect it to connect it both to a desktop computer as well as a wireless laptop. The quickness of the pages printing is great. The quality of the pages printed met or exceeded my expectations. The print was clear and professional. I have used this for about 3 weeks now and have not had any issues or complications. I would recommend this to family and friends with the caveat that there is very limited instructions and directions on getting it set up. I would also have liked to seen rubber castors on the bottom of the printer so that it does not scratch the surface the printer sets on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Printer Good printer for basic black and white print jobs. I was disappointed however that it arrived without an instruction booklet. Instead there was a piece of paper with set up illustrations. I`m not tech savvy so I searched online for a website with written instructions or video, but couldn`t find one. Also, there was a list of customer service numbers for every country except for the US. Initially this printer didn`t detect my Wi-Fi. I decided to restart the printer and then miraculously it appeared. Connecting to Wi-Fi after that was easy and my first attempt to print was effortless and fast! I was pleasantly surprised.In the past I`ve been loyal to one brand all-in-one printer and replacing the print cartridges was easy and inexpensive. This Lexmark printer uses a toner cartridge that I`m not used to buying and I currently can`t find online. I went to the Lexmark webpage and there are no toner cartridges for sale for this model and the ones they did offer for other models are expensive! I will look for a way to contact them and inquire when replacements will be available. Despite the toner replacement availability and high cost, I`m satisfied with the size of this printer as well as the ease and quality.

To teach my kids mathematics, language, emotions, drawing or puzzles I need many print outs daily. I didn’t want to buy expensive books that came with only a few pages. I am so happy to find my solution in this printer. It is compact, fast, and easy to use. I just see anything interesting in websites that provide free worksheets to use. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer I ordered this printer on Amazon and it arrived five days earlier than expected, so that was already great. This printer was extremely easy to set up! I was expecting for this to take at least an hour, plus I was expecting some difficulties l. However, the entire unpacking and setup was done within twenty minutes. I really enjoy how you can printer from any device and how this printer connects to wifi. It was very simple to print from your phone, all you do is select print! You don't even need to be connected to the same wifi. This printer prints fast and also very clear. Projects will now be a lot easier with being able to print so easily and quickly. I definitely recommend this printer and will be using this printer for many years. I received a special deal on this product for providing feedback.

Firmware was up-to-date and it has an easy-to-use owner's manual and accessories manual too. The app was also easy to use and recognized my printer almost immediately. You can setup the printer through Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB. The printing is very fast, sharp, laser quality and automatically two-sided if you wish and prints on assorted size papers and various print media. it has very low print costs, with A high yield toner. The printer connects to cloud sharing platforms and includes A one year warranty and next business day service. Has excellent end-to-end security. You can also enroll in Lexmark's OnePrint Toner Subscription Plan, which can help to save you up 50% on cartridge refills. All-in-all A high quality fast laser printing setup, for home or office, well worth the price indeed.
