Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 has been expertly crafted to allow you to work in a more natural position. The new Gull Wing design features a 14-degree gable, a natural arc and a curved key bed - bringing the keys closer to your fingers to reduce reach and unnecessary motion, while encouraging a more natural typing position. It also comes equipped with an optional palm lift for a seven-degree reverse slope and a cushioned wrist rest that encourages better arm and wrist alignment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT BUY It took time for me to get used to the separation in the key board, once I did and I removed the elevation attachment it was great. I recommend this keyboard to those who work at home or spend hours on your computer. I am still learning how to use extra function keys all in all I consider this one a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! It took me a few days to get use to it but now, I already feel that my hands are resting much more than with the regular keyboard, and I don't feel pain on my wrists by the end of the day. also de features are great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent keyboard I have worn the key lettering off my wireless ergonomic keyboard 7000. I work about 6 hours a day 6 days a week on it. I can't type worth a hoot on a straight keyboard anymore. I NEED the ergonomic, it is comfortable and easy to use. Took a little while in the beginning to get used to but once I did, I do not want the straight keyboard anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of Few Available Ergo. Keyboards It's been a solid ergonomic keyboard. One of the few available on the market. One notable drawback is that F-Lock key which disables the Function keys (F-1 - F-12). When you wonder why, for example, context sensitive help did not come up after pressing F-1, check the status of this F-Lock key (reported by a little green light at the front of the keyboard). The price could be reduced by eliminating the 17 extra buttons along the top and down the middle of the keyboard. Really, who uses these buttons? At least the buttons are designed to be out-of-the-way. I recommend it over the keyboard that comes with HP computers, where the silly buttons line the keyboard and are too easy to hit accidentially.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not for little hands!!! This keyboard is quite good in theory but if you have small hands it's not that great. It made typing very hard for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best keyboard I ever had. I highly recommend this Microsoft 4000 keyboard. I have four of them now and would not use any other design since it fits your hands comfortably and works great. Standard design keyboards are difficult to use because they are like using a typewriter...this one does not strain your hands trying to get your work done promptly and accurately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I wanted I needed a keyboard with separated sides for each hand and a Caps lock indicator light. This one has all that and a neat zoom key plus other features that I'm still discovering. Installation was simplicity itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ergonomic Keyboard It took a while to get used to the curved design, but once I typed for several hours, noticed that my hands and fingers were not tired. The keys were placed where I can reach them easily. You need to get used to the design. I took off the mounting piece. I would recommend this keyboard for someone who types a lot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has all the "bells & whistles I've enjoyed using this keyboard on my desktops for over a year. Amongst Its many features, the precision zoom and short cut keys are definite unique attributes. The adjustable keyboard response is excellent. The padded comfort, ease of cleaning, long battery life and its nice appearance are the toppings on the cake. Even though its wired, the cord is plenty long enough for my desired usage location. It's great not having to periodically reset it because of wireless communication issues -- a common experience with my former wireless keyboard uses. This keyboard is definitely worth its price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product was superbly designed. It is obvious people took the time to study the most common hand position of those who type a good portion of their day. I j have MS and my right hand and fingers would start to fatigue and spasm about mid-way through my day. I noticed that I was able to type longer and with less fatigue in my hand within a few days. I will continue to use this keyboard at work and I am considering purchasing another one to use at home and with my laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Keyboard!!! I love this keyboard...it's the 3rd one I've bought. It's so comfortable to type on that I have a difficult time trying to type on flat keyboards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 I wore mine out in 5 years, but I'm hooked so I asked HP to send another one. HP is the best source for all things hardware! It came in like 48 hours! Thanks HP!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product I have this keyboard at home and at work. It took me about 2 weeks to get used to the different writing style, but now I don't want to miss it. At work I have the wireless 7000 edition, which helps me take the keyboard with me to different computers as I now have a hard time working with the usual small keyboards. The Microsoft Natural Ergo Keyboard offers several shortcut keys to get to the web, a search function, and email. I love that there is a key for the calculator. The key buttons 1-5 can be assigned to the most frequently used websites. This keyboard is great for everyone having to spend much time on the computer. Even after typing for 12 hours my hands and arms finally don't hurt anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard I am a medical transcriptionist and type at least eight hours a day five days a week, so my keyboard gets a lot of use. One of my co-workers recommended this keyboard and I am so glad she did. I love it. The keys have a bit more space between them which I really like. There are many "express keys" that help, I love the zoom key features which enlarges the print without having to change settings within the computer itself. There are so many good things about this keyboard, too numerous to cite it this paragraph. I like it so much I had to purchase another one to use with my "non-work" computer because I can't type at all anymore on a standard keyboard. I'd recommend this keyboard to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must-Have Keyboard For anyone who does a lot of typing, this is a must-have keyboard. I've been using this style of keyboard for a long time, and it has cut down on my hand stress tremendously. I switched back to the plug-in style from the wireless this time and I like it much better. The wireless model gets some delays from time to time, even with fresh batteries. This one can go as fast as my fingers will let it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great keyboard! I bought this keyboard during an emergency. I had used this type of keyboard before but not from Microsoft. This keyboard is great! I love it! It is very comfortable and is easy to use. When it arrived, I just plugged it into my monitor and I was in business. Can't say enough! Buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product First, let me say that I have been using HP products going back to the 70's when I started programming on HP3000 systems. I love their hardware, and this is the best ergonomic keyboard made. It has the HP quality, fantastic touch on the keys, and the padded wrist area leaves your hands feeling great after a long day at work. I have used the mighty split boards for many years now and find it impossible to even try and type on a conventional board anymore. I have fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis, and using this keyboard is a godsend for anyone with those type of problems - including carpel tunnel. I did not have any trouble getting used to it, and my speed and accuracy increased by at least 15% when I switched to this keyboard. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Don't give up if you have trouble at first - because once you "get it", it the finger memory stays with you forever. I also have a wireless ergonomic (although I don't see it on the site, and it is an HP). It is much thinner and very lightweight. I use it with my laptop, along with a wireless mouse. I don't know about you, but those "finger mouse pads" that come on the laptops just drive me NUTS - and try and copy and paste with it.. almost impossible. Anyway.. at this price, I am going to purchase two more of them because of the great deal. So go ahead, give it a try.. honestly, try it, you will like it !!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MoreComfy Love the ergo keyboard. Had one once, wore it out, then used old straight style, so am again getting used to the better comfort of using an ergo keyboard. It takes time to get used to but is worth it for these arthritic hands. Love all the functions and features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this keyboard I use this keyboard 5 days a week for a good 6 hours of steady typing each day. It allows for such a natural position my wrists never ache as they did with a typical "unnatural" keyboard. It may take a few days to get used to the different position of the keys but after that your fingers will fly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Keyboard The keyboard is comfortable and easy to use. My wrists are not hurting like they were before this purchase. The space bar is loud if you press it in the wrong spot because it sticks due to its shape. No real concerns, love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good keyboard; space bar hard to press The rest at the bottom of the keyboard feels nice. The keyboard feels comfortable to type on, except when the space bar gets sort of stuck -- it takes relatively more force to press the space bar down, which is annoying since it's commonly used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There is one thing that could be improved... This is the keyboard I use at work. I am about to order my 3rd one. Not because my keyboard is shot...but because all of the numbers and letters are no longer visible. I have a desk job. I use lotion on my hands. So, I don't know if this problem is because of the lotion or because of my extensive use...but this keyboard lasts me approximately 2 years. If you can deal with no letters/numbers, I guess it could last forever.
