It was a great purchase because i really like the quality of the materials, the texture etc. But looking back at it it was quite a bit pricy, even though i had a discount.

Rated 5 out of 5 bywoodnotts from Dependable as ever.Having used many different cases on various phones over the years I have had Otter box Defender cases on my last 4 phones.The latest is on a Samsung S9 and is the first not to have a built in screen protector. The jury is still out on this feature but other than that it is the only case that has gives me the confidence to handle an expensive phone in a normal manner and especially in the workshop and when out and about on my motorbike in all weather's and needing to use my phone to log each section of a journey with a charity I volunteer for.Another factor of the Otter box Defender is that it can still charge the phone wirelessly with an Ikea charger (£10 if you can fashion up a base to put it in or £15 for a beech version. Not a rapid charger but it sits on the bench in the workshop in a scrap piece if wood.

I don't have small hands but when it is attached I can't use the phone with one hand any more. Therefore the price for protection is too big for me. I am looking for other solutions.

I had my first four 6 years and then a small piece of plastic broke where the charger connected. No big deal. I was at a running expo and was talking to the Otterbox crew who saw my case. They told me to go online and it would be replaced for free. I didn't think that was right after all those years, but I tried anyway. Sure enough, I had a new case sent to me in a week for free! When I upgraded my phone recently, I made sure to purchase my new Otterbox that day. I love this product! It is so durable and holds up to bring dropped.

Rated 5 out of 5 byEvan from Case seems very protective so farThis is much better than the defender case I had for my galaxy S4, specifically it doesn't have a flimsy plastic screen protector to get all dirty immediately. I always tore that out of my old one and put a stick on glass screen protector, but that screwed up the clips holding the case together. All that has been solved with the s9 since Otterbox makes a glass screen protector to go with this case and that's exacly what I wanted. The only issue I have with it is that together the screen protector and case are, like, $100 but if I am a bit careful I expect them to last since I don't have to take them off unless I add a microsd card. The downside is you can't use things like the gearvr in this case, but I have hacked on that so it should work fine now without taking the case off.

Rated 5 out of 5 byKim Serrato from Nice CaseI bought this case because of the durability and protection I received when I used a Defender with my S7. I love that they have made it slimmer which is easier for me to handle. With my clumsy hands and 2 little kids I know my phone will be safe when its dropped. The only draw back to this case is how stiff the cover for the charging port is. I had issues with my last phone, the cover rested on the cable and caused the cable to eventually not connect properly in the phone. This resulted in me having to buy new charging cables. Another solution was for me to remove the rubber casing when charging my phone which caused it to stretch out and in the end not fit well. I am hoping this will not happen but seems to already be affecting how the cable sits in the phone when being charged. (I set my phone flat on the table to charge so there is no unnecessary bending or angles to the cable other than the pressure from the case
