Rated 5 out of 5 by from BackBeat PRO 2 - excellent noise cancelling.Easy to use, controls are intuitive. I used it during a flight CA to Tx, and for the first time I could hear perfectly while watching a movie, using the noise cancelling feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ComfyThe biggest challenge I have with headphones is always comfort. Even if the quality is wonderful, if they are uncomfortable, I cannot enjoy wearing them and will not. These do not hurt my head or my ears. I am loving enjoying music and podcasts again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My pair was of poor qualityI owned a pair of Plantronics BackBeat PRO head phones and had no problems. I'm a local guy here in Santa Cruz so I upgraded to the BackBeat PRO 2 headphones to support a local company. I've had to two pairs. The ear cups are always the first to go. In less than a year the ear cups developed problems. The ear cups are annoying, but they can be replaced. My biggest problem with the headphones are the Smart sensors (Smart sensors pause your music automatically when you remove your headphones and then resume playback when you put them back on). On both pairs of BackBeat PRO 2 headphones that I've owned the sensors don't work properly. For example, if I chew or move my jaw the music stops. If I angle my head to the left the sensors react and stop the music. If the headband moves to the back or front a fraction of an inch the sensor stops the music. It's annoying. I reported this to the Plantronics team but could not get a replacement set of headphones. The battery is good. The sound and noise canceling are also fine. The customer service, earcups, and Smart sensors are stopping me from replacing these with another set of Plantronics headphones. That hurts because I'm sitting in my living room in Santa Cruz 4.8 miles from Plantronics Corporate Headquarters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic sound, better design than the originalJust got in the new BackBeat Pro 2, so I've only had a few hours to try them out, but here are my initial thoughts. Great packaging and appreciate that Plantronics used less plastic in the box. The headphones were placed inside the included travel bag, along with the USB charging cable and ¼" audio jack and instruction manual.Initially paired them with my iPhone 6s+, which was simple. I immediately tried pairing them with my retina MacBook Pro, but the headphones at first were not showing up as an option. A few re-starts and I got them connected to both the phone and laptop, but have experienced further hiccups with disconnects and non-responsive headphone functions. This could be an issue with my iPhone and MacBook, as I'm running beta software, but will do some further testing on other devices to see if it continues to be a problem, suggesting a possible issue with either the headphone hardware or software. The biggest difference between the Pro 2's and the Pro's, is size / design of the headset. The new Pro 2's are much smaller, looking more like other competitor's models, compared to the Pro's, which were much chunkier looking. As for my initial impressions of sound quality and active noise suppression, the Pro 2's seem to be very similar to the Pro's. Great bass response, tight but strong. The highs are clear without being overly sharp. I've got a pretty diverse music collection and have listened to about a dozen different genre's on the Pro 2's and can say they sound great for classic music, rock, alt-country and hip-hop.The active noise canceling could only be tested against a lawn mower and leaf blower that were running outside my office window, but much like the original Pro's, they do a very good job filtering out most of the obnoxious droning sounds. I'll report how they work after my next flight, next week, how they work for airline travel. The original version worked great for flying, allowing me to filter out the jet's drone on a 12 hour flight and expect the same out of the Pro 2's.I can't comment on battery life as of now, but I'll push to see if they perform as the Pro's did. No reason to think they won't give the same long-lasting battery performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Headphone works great as Headset for computer conference callsI wanted a noise canceling headset to use with both computer and phone bluetooth connections. With this Backbeat Pro 2 I can be connected to computer and phone at the same time so that music from computer playing stops when I have to pick up phone call.Conference calls with computer I have not heard anyone say or complaint they could not head me from head phone microphone(s).I also tested at home and I could pair Backbeat Pro 2 with Apple TV 2 and sounded awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks cool, and sounds great.I was looking for wireless headphones, and had previous good experience with this company so I decided on these. I was impressed with the packaging, which is the first thing that impressed me. The headphones themselves are really nice looking, and comfortable to wear. I have a pretty big head, so I think these headphones should fit just about anyone. The headphones actually have good bass, which is a plus since I was just looking to use them casually. And I really like how the buttons were placed on the device, I picked up how to use them in less than an hour. The last thing I think worth mentioning is the button for open listening, which you can use to drown outside noise or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy design, fantastic featuresI am really enjoying my Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 headphones. The design is sleek and classy, they aren't too bulky and have a little bit of a wood grain look on the sides and a leather look and feel over the band. The sound quality is excellent and they are comfortable to wear. It was super easy to pair these headphones with both my PC and my Android phone and I love that they can be paired with 2 devices at the same time....saves me a lot of time when I want to switch from one device to the other. The dial for volume along with the buttons for playback function are great, and easy to find and the features are phenomenal...the noise cancellation works like a charm, and I love the open mic feature that allows me to hear my daughter when she comes to talk to me while I'm listening to something in the headphones. Normally, I have to hold up a finger to put her on hold and then pause my video or song and take off my headphones and then have her repeat herself. Now, I can hear her the first time and have a conversation with her on the spot without all the scrambling and pausing of things. :) All in all, I think these headphones are fantastic and I'm thoroughly enjoying them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic ProductThese headphones are GREAT!!!! I love them. I even had my husband try them to see what he thought. His reaction was: "WOW!!! These are awesome". I had to tell him hands off they are mine!!!! Seriously, the BackBeat PRO 2 are the nicest headphone I have ever used.I love the Bluetooth capability, I am not a real tech savvy person and I was able to link them to my phone right away.If you want a set of headphones to use for workouts, studying, just hanging out and listening to your favorite music you will not be disappointed in these.Well worth the investment!!!!
