Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bang, for buck! Sure! The Samsung 34” CJ791 is a great monitor with a curved, ultra-wide screen that displays clear visuals and has a fast refresh rate. It looks great and is easy to adjust for comfortable viewing. It also has a Thunderbolt 3 port to charge devices and transfer data very quickly. However, it can be expensive. Overall, it's a top choice if you want a high-end monitor for work or gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing monitor I use this monitor for work and my girlfriend uses it for school. I orginally bought it for her school, she was hesitant i said im getting it. She loves it and loves using it on a daily basis. I wish it was easier to connect with another monitor with out some port connector needed. Its been amazing using it to work as i said would love to get another display like this one. But for a single display it opens up multiple tabs and looks like 2 14" momitors. The use of the usb ports in the back makes it feel like its own laptop. Plug anything into it and the computer reads it as if its part of it. I gave it 4 stars because i feel that it could be better connectivity with 2 monitors without needing a port connector. But im happy makes wish i bought a bigger one

And that means alot to me considering my last monitor made by another.ive been using mainly for home entertainment. Im enjoying the quality of the sound the most. I've got .more compliments on this monitor than I have my last 3monitors.

I used it for play AAA videogames, true Color, HD, vivid colors and Modern design It's an ultrawide gaming monitor that doesn't have the highest resolution or refresh rate compared to other monitors, but it combines excellent picture quality with fantastic gaming performance. It has a near-instantaneous response time, resulting in incredibly smooth motion without visible blur. It also has a 175Hz refresh rate that you can achieve over a DisplayPort connection. Lastly, it natively supports G-SYNC variable refresh rate (VRR) technology to reduce screen tearing, which is beneficial if you have an NVIDIA graphics card and want to take full advantage of it. Motion looks excellent as the response time is fantastic at its max refresh rate and remains quick even with at low refresh rates. Lastly, it has a few extra gaming features, like a virtual crosshair that gives you a competitive advantage while playing FPS games, as your game's anti-cheating tool won't detect it. The high refresh rate helps provide an extremely fast response time, and it also has an optional backlight strobing feature. This helps improve the appearance of motion by reducing persistence blur, and unlike many monitors, you can customize its flicker to your liking, so you can fine-tune it to something you like. It has FreeSync support and is also G-SYNC compatible, which is useful if you have an NVIDIA graphics card. Anything else? You have a piece of art with optimal quality, technology and affordable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Display is great, USB ports not working on Win 7 I did buy this monitor mainly because of it's thunderbolt support and ability to connect pheripherals. When it comes to the display itself, it is awesome, it is a huge productivity boost. I am using Dell Precision 7520 workstation, having all drivers up to date, but windows cannot find the drivers for the usb controller.However, everything works with Macbook Pro computer, so the problem is not in the hardware. I managed to have chat over an hour online with Samsung support. It was surely very polite discussion but useless, since i got the same questions over and over again, like which cable am I using. I requested to have a contact with technical support which was simply ignored. Now I tried to send an email from the website and it is impossible! After filling the form the response is "no session". Let's see if the review goes through. If I'm not getting the solution to the problem, I'll return the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Monitor but Not a great for Mac users I was looking for a less costly version to the goto Apple compatible displays and don't really need 5K, so thought I would give this monitor a try. I am pleased with the picture quality & picture performance, but unfortunately that is where it ends. The good: Picture Quality for a non-5K display is good Curved screen is much better than I had anticipated The USB hub built into the display gives me options to plug in my other Apple Devices The not so good: No Volume Control from MacOS using Thunderbolt (just crazy) Doesn't provide ability to control any display settings from MacOS like the other manufacturer (such as brightness and volume) Joystick control is not in a very convenient to reach place and you have to use it to do anything with this monitor (another dig on the fact you can't adjust anything via MacOS) After using this monitor for a few weeks, I have ordered the 5K display from Apple as I just really miss: Volume Control Brightness Control Automatic Dimming Built-In Camera If you use your own speakers, don't need a camera, really don't want to spend the money on a 5K display & don't think you will need to adjust brightness or have MacOS automatically dim, then this could be a good monitor for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Wide Monitors, But Not This One it was lovely for samsung to ask for product experience feedback on the same day i spent 45 minutes on hold with the samsung warranty dept. i've experienced the following issues: 1) the monitor occasionally will emit loud, sickening electrical popping sounds akin to electricity arcing between electrodes. 2) the usb-c connection sporadically doesn’t work. the screen drops out and goes black 3) the monitor is wobbly. it shakes with the smallest nudge. i bought this monitor based on brand loyalty. i recommended it to 3 friends. one friend purchased it as well. regret. the monitor was sent shipped back for repair. let's see is samsung can make this right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Audio stopped working after 60 days I would have loved everything about this monitor, had it worked like it was supposed to. After just a month and a half or so, the audio port doesn't work anymore. I called Samsung support and my only option was to send it in for a repair, which could take weeks. I wouldn't even know how to safely ship this thing, it's huge! Also, I can't afford multiple weeks of down time, as I use this as my main workstation monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gamers Dream If you are a PC gamer, this is required. Previously I used the ASUS VG248QE dual set up. On comes the CJ791 Thunderbolt?? and knocks the Asus out of the game literally. No lag time or missing a kill because you didn't refresh quickly enough. The size provides a continuous visual versus broken up between the two monitors. Such a powerful experience with the best coloring for graphics. One monitor to replace the dual setup is more conducive to the gaming experience and PIP allows me to stream Twitch simultaneous. The sound quality does not miss. I typically use my SteelSeries headphones while gaming to enhance the sound. I can now go without those and receive the same effect. This monitor takes the win over any gaming monitor out there. Surely a necessity if you love PC gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect to replace/add to a multi screen setup! Recently I had the opportunity to purchase and try this monitor and receive a big rebate for my review. I was using a multi monitor setup prior to installing this monitor. Once installed I was able to use just this monitor in split screen mode. The picture is incredible. There is no angle that you can look at the screen and not have a perfect picture. I do 90% of my work online and resolution is key. The clarity and visibility has enabled me to increase my accuracy. Instead of having to turn to look at different screens, or accidentally losing the mouse when shifting between different monitors, I am able to seamlessly flow to any location and not but shift my eyes and still view everything. Is as though a regular flat screen monitor was rotating with your line of site. I would recommend this to anyone in a technical field and even to gamers who are looking for a great viewing area that is seamless. #SamsungMonitorInsiders

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good But No Auto Brightness for Mac Maybe I'm too spoiled as a Mac user. There's no built-in camera, okay no problem. But no auto brightness either. Not even keyboard brightness control. This means having to reach back to the tiny joystick and navigating several menus every day. And I'm running two of these side-by-side with a 2018 Mac mini, so that's double the physical fiddling every morning and night, once on the left, then again on the right. As for performance, so far so good, but there's a lag when booting up, even when using Apple's expensive 0.8M active Thunderbolt 3 cable. No built-in microphone, either. Otherwise it's pretty good as an adapted PC display.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cant change sources between TB3 Ports I have had this monitor for nearly two weeks. Overall I love it! The picture is good, nice contrast and great response even for gaming. The size, resolution and aspect ratio combine wonderfully allowing your productivity to increase over similar 16:9 screens. There are two major negatives that I can't get over and a couple of other small glitches as well. 1.) You switch sources between the TB3 inputs on the monitor. This is my biggest annoyance. I have a macbook pro with tb3 and a razer laptop with tb3 and there is no easy way of switching between the input sources. I have to power cycle the monitor and turn off the device that I don't want to use. You also cannot do PIP between the two TB3 ports which well...thats annoying. 2.) Samsung made the poor decision to not have a dedicated power button. It takes 3 button presses to turn off the screen. Can't understand the thought process here it's really frustrating especially when I have to constantly power cycle the monitor due to the first problem I have with this monitor. One minor issue - depending on the frequency you do it - it takes a good 15-20 seconds to switch inputs Lastly the built in USB hub sometimes doesn't power on the devices plugged in (i only have a keyboard/mouse attached). When this happens you may have to unplug and plug back in your peripherals or turn off the monitor, unplug everything, turn the monitor back on and then plug everything back in. All of these problems were identical across two different monitors, my first was exchanged due to a faulty OSD joystick controller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Thunderbolt 3 widescreen monitor You need I was very interested in this monitor, because I have a Razer Blade 15" 2017. For those not familiar, that is a gaming laptop with a Thunderbolt 3 port. As soon as I turned it on I just had to click ok for a pop up for the Thunderbolt 3 and the monitor showed up right away. Essentially I can have three screens by cutting the Samsung monitor in half and keeping my laptop on. This is a productivity monster. The QLed was another component I was interested in and boy does it have a bright crisp color on the screen. I do not own a MacBook with a thunderbolt 3 port, but I can say with certain that it works without a hitch and is a must buy for those on the market for a widescreen monitor with thunderbolt 3 windows PC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Arrived with a Broken Frame - Poor Support Arrived with a broken upper right corner on the frame. The box was undamaged. I wasn't able to open until 18 days after I received the monitor due to holiday travel and a hectic work schedule. Support stated there was a 15 day return period even though Shop Samsung's website says 30 days. I am in the process of speaking with support about obtaining a warranty replacement. I cannot comment on the quality of this particular monitor's picture because I am afraid of powering up a Samsung product with this poor level of quality control. Packaging is 3x bigger than a similar 32 inch model with plenty of styrofoam for protection. Samsung must not quality control their products or just don't care about customer experience. I was affected by the Note7 debacle and thought their support had greatly improved.

From the moment you unpack it till you finish using it for the day, this is just a gorgeous piece of equipment. Positives: - Amazing to look at… even when off - No eye strain, even after a 10 hours of constant use - Great connection options - Fast refresh times - Excellent resolution - Curved Negatives: - Back cover for cord management is flimsy - Expensive This monitor replaced two IPS 19’’ monitors. When using those, I had noticed that I could not sit in front of them for a long time; but with this Samsung monitor, I can spend an inordinate amount of time without any eye strain or feeling uncomfortable. While a curved TV seems like a gimmick, using a curved monitor is absolutely amazing. You sit close enough in front of the monitor that having a curved screen actually seems to “envelop” your view. The colors are comparable to the older IPS monitors, but the single wide screen monitor really makes everything immersive as there is no “break” in content. The biggest negative that I could find is the price. This is an expensive product, no way around it. The other minor quibble is that in order to “hide” the power and connection cord in the back of the monitor, the back plastic plate is really flimsy and can easily fall out as there isn’t a locking / snapping mechanism. Fortunately, once set, this becomes a moot point. I recommend this for anyone looking for a top of the line monitor.

I was surprised with how huge the box was when this flagship monitor came in. I felt like I ordered a new television. The ultrawide 34" screen makes you feel immersed as you watch movies or play games 21:9. I also love the sound quality this monitor makes. It almost felt like a surround sound system and I was amazed as how great the stock speakers were. Some specs of the CJ791 is that it has a refresh rate of 100hz, 4ms response time, 3440x1440 screen resolution, and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Although it isn't an IPS monitor, the QLED technology covers more than 125% of the sRGB color space making it a great monitor for video editing as well. It's a productivity monster when I used Adobe Premeire for video editing. I could fit the whole time onscreen and then some! The CJ791 also comes with AMD free sync and a game mode optimizing responsiveness and screen lag. The thunderbolt connections take the win for this monitor giving it the crown for one of the first monitors from Samsung with this connectivity. It can transmit video and data at speeds of up to 40Gbps — 8 times faster than USB 3.0 — and simultaneously charges devices (up to 85W, all over a single cable. Thanks to the Insiders for letting me test out another great product from Samsung!

The CJ791 Thunderbolt 3 Ultra-Wide Screen Curved Monitor is cutting edge, equipped with the latest and greatest technology. All in sleek slim design, that if very functional and easily the most unique & stylish item in my home . The screen resolution very vivid , which makes entertainment and productivity a lot more engaging with the ultra fast graphics and performance. No matter what you are doing rather you are casually browsing the or if your professional editing photo , all tasks become more intuitive. Seriously one of best , if not the best monitor on the market, absolutely recommend to anyone looking to increase productivity! I am writing this review as part of the Insiders program.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No docking station required I have had this monitor for 2 weeks now and it is amazing. First, it is like having two monitors in one but it takes up very little desktop space. The curved screen is ideal for this set up, a similar effect to having two monitors with each one angled toward the viewer. Second, the picture is amazing - I have never had a high-quality picture for a computer monitor since I use it mostly for work but the 4k definitely is easier on the eyes. My kids have even watched some movies on it and love it! Third, and probably the most amazing feature is the Thunderbolt connection. This means no docking station is required. My keyboard and mouse dongle and USB hub is plugged into the back of the monitor. Just one cable connected to my laptop and the monitor and it functions without a dock. It charges the laptop too. This makes it such a clean setup. I love this monitor and now thinking about getting one for my wife's office!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very underwhelming. Sent back. I really wanted to love this monitor. It was a lot cheaper than the LG Thunderbolt 3 monitor. Unfortunately, there is a reason. First impressions were bad before setting it up. The plastic was separated off the back of the monitor. The front panel was not cleanly removed from the mold and had a bad spot in the corner of the lower bezel. Once I got it setup on my 2018 i9 MacBook Pro, I realized it had dirt behind the panel. So far, not impressed. After using it for an evening, I couldn't get over how washed out the colors were and the resolution definitely didn't do it for me compared to my Mac. I can understand the lack of resolution and knew this going into it, but the colors killed me. No finding with adjustments could make it better. After a week of it, I sent it back to Amazon. Sorry Samsung. I have a lot of your TVs that I love, but this monitor left me wanting a LOT more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Productivity king! As soon as I removed the monitor from the box and placed it on my desk I was in awe. The space you get with this screen is overwhelming and the design is simply marvelous. One of my favorite things of the design is being able to hide the cables through the stand on the back. The curved screen design looks amazing and the whole monitor is surprisingly light in weight. Now to the real deal.. turning it on! This monitor packs an amazing quality in a huge curved ultra-wide screen. The curve is in fact very easy in the eyes. I spent about 8-9 hours with it in one go and felt no real stress on my eyes. On top of that, the 21:9 ratio is productivity heaven. I usually work with two screens at work, but this changes the game completely. I can have 4 windows open on the screen and to interact with all of them at perfect quality and with enough space to get all my things done! I feel like I will be getting much more work done now that I have this screen and that’s the main reason I bought it! I honestly cannot find any cons to this monitor. The PBP and PIP functions are also some of my favorite features. I currently have a work laptop and a personal laptop and being able to project both screens in one removes the hassle from having to switch from looking at two different screens. Samsung has outdone themselves with this monitor and I fully recommend this product to anyone that works on multiple projects, is a designer, or a gamer! (I am looking forward to downloading a game and playing on this screen very soon!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful but Flawed The colors are vibrants and the design is gorgeous, it's not just marketing hype the curve is truly immersive. Unfortunately, my monitor developed a stuck pixel after less than a week of use. I disconnected the monitor for 12 hours and used software to attempt a fix; nothing worked. The stand was also tilted just slightly enough that the monitor never lined up straight. For $900 you're allowed to be extremely critical of the product. It is going to be returned and replaced with a different product until I conduct further research.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Worthy TB3 Monitor for Apple Users I completely revamped my set up away from a 2017 MacBook Pro 13" to a 2018 Mac Mini. Although I had a Dell 4k monitor, a widescreen monitor was on my short wishlist for the new set up. Monitor is gorgeous aesthetically. Display quality is top notch and having a single cable connection via TB3 is a boon. Daisy chaining several TB3 devices was a must - Lacie 2Big RAID, BlackMagic external ECU - and this monitor works perfectly. Great for Final Cut Pro. Great for working with two documents, such as an Excel worksheet and a Powerpoint PPT alongside. Highly recommend this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't work with Dex i bought this monitor because it included the usb-c port so that i could use it with my note 10+. i was sad to find out that for some reason the usb-c port doesn't work with the note 10+. my $1100 dollar phone and my $700 dollar monitor (both samsung) don't function together. dex works just fine on any other brand of monitor and non samsung devices work with the cj791 monitor. the monitor looks really nice, it works well with a computer, but i would not recommend it to anyone who is planning to use samsung dex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous colors, Thunderbolt 3/USB-C connectivity disclaimer: i acquired two of these monitors with an employee discount; nevertheless, the review is objective and centered on my personal experience. pluses: * great connectivity options (2 t3/usb-c ports, hdmi, dpi) * can charge laptop with up to 85w, another device up to 15w * thunderbolt 3/usb-c port can double as a hub * great color, amd freesync * decent speakers * thunderbolt 3 cable and high-speed hdmi included * vesa metal plate included minuses: * iit tilts. 5 degrees or more, translates to about 1/2 inch; have tried a clip on the back to no avail. * sound cannot be controlled with a mac (apparently cec support on the mac)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME VIRTUAL SETUP perfect monitor, relatively small footprint. features hdmi, displayport, usbs, usb-c so you can run just about any new system currently available. energy saving features and the picture-n-picture and picture-by-picture are phenomal. charges my mac and beats headphones, the extra ports making adding peripherals a breeze. looking to get one more since its vesa compatible and add it to a two monitor mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thunderbolt port stopped working after 2 weeks great monitor (size, look, etc.), but for this price it should be 100% reliable... and it was not. after two weeks of use the thunderbolt port failed to display picture and audio. now i have to deal with a repair process that is not user friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable. Made my decision almost entirely based on the brand loyalty. Bought this CJ791 from nationwide retailer. It came in the CJ791 box. Manufacturer's label reads CJ791. Except it is CF791, based on both ports and what says inside the "menu=>information". Manufacturer's label shows no signs of manipulation. Had a great time returning it in. And you complain about a dead pixel. Quality, huh?

Running a MacBook Pro and connected via thunderbolt. Awesome resolution, definitely increases productivity, more screen space and no bezel in the middle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Monitor tilts due to slack in joint with arm First, I really enjoy this monitor. I can't see myself ever going back to a non-curved monitor. That said, my problem is that the monitor tilts to the right by 1/2" to 3/4". I placed a paperclip in the joint where the arm attaches to the back. It's now level. [I had returned one other with the same issue, so the issue must not be a one off. Btw, my desktop is level, I checked].

Unfortunately, the resolution just doesn't quite meet my expectations and this becomes immediately apparent when dragging content from the retina (MacBook Pro) display over to the CJ791; the text is pixilated. My experience with the monitor ended up straining my eyes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very bad quality control Just as many other reviewed. This monitor has very poor workmanship. The monitor came with panel detached from the bezel on the top. The LED light shines through the gap directly. There are also a few dead pixels here and there. I like the features it provides, especially the thunderbolt 3 interface. However, it failed in a very important aspect, the quality. Will have to return it. Buyer beware!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Broken bezel, lacking support this is my third time to try to submit a review. for whatever reason, samsung won't post my review. i purchased directly from samsung. after a few months, a quarter inch piece of plastic broke off the front of the bezel on the lower right corner. samsung says they don't cover cosmetic issues which is disappointing as it would be a cheap fix and the monitor was so expensive. the monitor seems to work fine otherwise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great monitor i replaced 2 27-inch monitors with this one and am very glad that i did. it helped to declutter my smallish desk and still enables me to have multiple windows open at once, everything from photoshop to excel. i use this monitor to work from home right now during the pandemic and to post-process photos in lightroom on weekends. the monitor is very sharp, text is clear and images are rendered beautifully. i recommend this monitor to anyone needing a large but compact screen. the monitor is also very attractive; sleek and curved without a lot of messy cords.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing monitor I use this monitor for work and my girlfriend uses it for school. I orginally bought it for her school, she was hesitant i said im getting it. She loves it and loves using it on a daily basis. I wish it was easier to connect with another monitor with out some port connector needed. Its been amazing using it to work as i said would love to get another display like this one. But for a single display it opens up multiple tabs and looks like 2 14" momitors. The use of the usb ports in the back makes it feel like its own laptop. Plug anything into it and the computer reads it as if its part of it. I gave it 4 stars because i feel that it could be better connectivity with 2 monitors without needing a port connector. But im happy makes wish i bought a bigger one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't buy this faulty product I bought this product 2 years ago... it is just past the warranty period unfortunately. About six months ago, it started showing a pixelated screen with deinterlacing issues and a resulting extremely blurry picture any time I switched on the monitor. Then the sound stopped working on Zoom calls. I spent an hour with Samsung customer service and they informed me I would have to ship the product at my own cost to the service center and to pay for service myself, since the product is passed warranty. I have barely used it for two years and unfortunately will not be getting a Samsung monitor again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent quality monitor, with flaws there are a few annoying things, the monitor wobbles with slight touch, the control button is on the back and far right side, the menus are annoying to navigate to get to simple features. the monitor is unusable for about 10-12 seconds after waking due to time to stablize and stop flashing. wanted to fix some of the fw issues, and update the monitor. i saw that 1007 was available, & followed the samsung instructions. i did them 40+ times with multiple usb flash drives, a hd, multiple fat32 formats, etc., nothing worked. i called support 5 times, & read online reviews. support said they have a ticket for this, & i should talk to the vendor i purchased it from, or ship it back to samsung for 3 weeks, on their bill. would have written more about the pros, but have only 800 chars max.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead Pixel Issues within 3 months of purchasing this monitor, a cluster of dead pixels appeared on the screen (shown in the accompanying images with pink background). it was sent in for warranty, and the panel was changed, but upon receiving it back, the “fixed” monitor had even more dead pixels, albeit they were more dispersed (shown in images with white background). there are some serious quality issues here, and i hope that samsung fixes my product this time around. buyers beware.

It constantly flickers and I have to take out the back panel to wedge it in the port . It still doesn't work. And the back panel is very difficult to put back on . So I wouldn't recommend this product . I don't know what to do to fix this anymore?

I am being charged around $210 for repair, it's not worth it. Lesson learned, to never buy a samsung product again.

I am a technical writer by trade and this monitor gives me the ability to have multiple windows open at once without feeling like I am scanning across the room. It's very comfortable on the eyes. I am giving this four stars because I bought this monitor because of the built in Thunderbolt docking station. My company uses Dell and this monitor only support 85 watt charging, where as my Dell support 140 watt. It still charges my laptop, but slowly. So, I just use the portable power supply that came with the computer to charge it, the USB-C from the monitor for the display, and I also have a USB-C camera. Unfortunately, the USB-C camera I have doesn't work through the USB-C port on the monitor. So I have to plug it into the laptop. Other than those few things I am hooked on the curve monitors.

The stand is beautifully engineered and provides both height and tilt adjustments, plus if you want to wall mount it you can use the VESA mounting kit included in the box. You might want to do that, as well, since in addition to its wide, 21:9 aspect ratio it’s a jolly big screen, measuring a substantial 34in across the diagonal; Samsung also introduces a dramatic 1500R curvature here, the idea being to provide a more immersive viewing experience than a flat monitor.

Just one caveat love this monitor! i use for biz not gaming. am able to put two screens up and move between them (mail to the left, browser to the right). couldn't ask for better. then 2 years into it, the right side of the monitor started to darken - roughly 2-3". chatted with samsung support and they confirmed warranty was in place and immediately started the return and replace process. however, it took three months to work through the process (pretty sure a covid thing). they made it easy with responsive emails, instructions for the return (kept the box!), acknowledged the return and eventually issued a credit for the full amount. note that i had to use the credit only on the samsung website which proved to be an easy process as well. replacement arrived and as noted above, working well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't do what it's supposed to do they advertise that this monitor has 2 usb-c ports, dp port, hdmi, and 2 usb slots for things like mouse and keyboard that can be a single input. sadly, the 2 usb slots for mouse/keyboard only works with usb-c connection, and although i have 2 computers that can have usb-c inputs, the chat support person tells me i can't connect 2 separate computers into the 2 separate usb-c ports to display. if you built two separate slots, make them both work to display two separate computers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing monitor The 34" curved monitor has completely transformed my work experience. * Clear, bright monitor, adjustable in every direction. * Wide aspect ratio allows for many application windows to be placed side by side * Curved screen gives a slight wrap around feeling to content on the furthest left and right edges of the screen making those items feel closer to the viewer than if that content was on a flat panel screen * Thunderbolt and USB-C ports allow for all of the computers and items on my desk to run through the back of the monitor with one wire connecting and powering either my Mac or PC.

I love how the curves really make you feel like you're in the game, almost like a 360 experience. The graphics come alive and the sound is amazing. I tried it for streaming which was also great but it I wasn't as thrilled with using it with regular computer programs. Overall, this is a great monitor and I would highly recommend it for gaming and streaming.

Must have a 40Gbps Thunderbolt cable from the computer to the first monitor or it does not work. With the 40Gbps cable, it is amazing. The screen is huge and with 2 or more of them there is ample workspace for multiple spreadsheets to be open at once.

Most of what I use my monitor for is video editing and the clarity is the best I've ever seen on any monitor I've owned in the past. It's the most precise for video's that I edit on a daily basis and the output and quality is remarkable! Hands down, on a scale of 1 to 10, I rate this monitor at 9. It would rate it as a perfect 10 if the refresh rate was a little bit faster. Otherwise I love it!

The big screen allows me to open multiple pdfs and docs simultaneously while I write. I also work with MATLAB and Adobe to create high res images, the color reproduction from this monitor allows me to vizualize my data better. Saving the best for last, watching movies at 21:9 aspect ratio is amazing. No more black bars while watching movies. Pros: 1) Amazing resolution 2) Large screen surface area for better multi-tasking 3) PIP mode to use multiple laptops or gaming system 4) Excellent audio quality for a monitor 5) Good refresh rate for gaming Cons: 1) No wireless connection (expected for monitors but will be a good feature to have in future) 2) Cant achieve a good resolution while Connecting via Chrome-cast 3) 16:9 (YouTube or Netflix) videos will have black bars 4) Can't maintain the aspect ratio while connecting to devices like Roku or Xfinity flex

I probably spend upwards of 12 hrs/day infront of my computer so something that's comfortable and fast refresh/high performance monitor with versatility is what I needed. Most people that work with two monitors know you almost never go back. This monitor almost did the trick! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and connections for peripherals I bought my monitor since we started to work from home due to the pandemic. I am a software engineer, so having a lot of real state was the main argument to purchase it. I have it connected to my work laptop via HDMI and my personal laptop via Thunderbolt 3 connector. So it is very practical to switch from one to another. The HDMI connection is very reliable, I have had almost no issues with it. However, the Thunderbolt 3 connection is not as reliable. I have had to physically disconnect the cable from the back of the monitor some times for my laptop to get recognized again because doing it from the end to the laptop did not work. I am using the provided USB Thunderbolt 3 cable for this connection so I don't think the cable is the issue. Other than that, the brightness is great, the resolution is also awesome, the colors are vivid. I also like that it has built-in speakers and I did not expect them to have a nice quality sound, but they are enough for my needs. I play music while working and sometimes use them during conversations in video chats although I use my headset most of the times for that. However, improving the sound quality also would be great. I think adding a built-in video camera would be the cherry on the top (literally), but it has to be an HD camera, because the monitor itself is very pricey and the video camera has to be as good as that. In summary, I am very happy with my monitor because of how wide it is and how nice the resolution of the images are.

I have a 43inch computer monitor from another company, but I bought this model while looking for another sub-monitor because of the heavy workload. This is a review after using it for about a year now. The first monitor from another company was larger than this product, but now the monitor has become a sub-monitor. In particular, it was a new world even though I am studying computer major as to the function of Thunderbolt. First of all, I use this monitor with a laptop, I can connect the screen and charge at the same time, so the adapter cord is gone. Also, the speaker performance is so good that computer speakers are gone. The USB receiver of the wireless mouse keyboard can also be connected to the monitor, so the USB hub has disappeared. On the back of the monitor, peripherals such as a desktop can be connected. Desks are tidy and work efficiency has increased. Very satisfied. The thunderbolt monitor is amazing.

This one beautiful screen replaced two 24 inches screens mounted on a shared stand that was unstable and clunky (and ruined my Feng shui). I like the sleek aesthetics of this screen. It fits well on my smallish desk. The resolution is stunning and has a fast refresh rate. It accommodates Thunderbolt, display port, DC24V, and HDMI inputs. It has USB and a headphone jack ports, although the location of these on the rear is not ideal. It is somewhat adjustable altho improvements could be made there too. Highly recommended. Life is short...be fabulous!

I did remove the stand and use a VESA arm desk mount, it is very easy to adjust. I have two devices connected, one via HDMI and one via DP, it detects both immediately and has no trouble switching from my PC to my laptop when needed. The one con I have is that the USB-C Thunderbolt is not very reliable when connecting it to my phone, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Not a big deal as I never use the Samsung DEX, but would be nice to have a reliable source of power.

It has a high contrast ratio due to its VA panel and displays deep but not very uniform blacks. It is more suitable for an average lit room as it cannot get very bright to fight bright room glare. It has great gray uniformity, which is great for browsing the web, but the bad viewing angles make it unsuitable for working side by side with a colleague. It has great motion handling with a fast 100Hz refresh rate, supports FreeSync and has a low input lag to please gamers.

The clarity and color replication is fantastic. Also, I game occasionally, and this monitor provides more than enough clarity, response time and functionality for your average (non competitive) gamer like myself. It allows efficient multitasking due to the size and is also a high resolution. Although it is not 120 or 144 hz, 100 hz is smooth enough and it is worth settling for considering the amount of real estate you are paying for. And trust me you are paying for it considering the higher price point that this offered at. Also the Thunderbolt 3 has proved useful in my field. All around solid picture, frame rate, and size. Definitely worth the money.

The ability to split my screen into two windows makes it easier to keep going. The resolution is great and the speakers are sufficient. I can also add that the Samsung customer report is second to none. I dropped my $800 monitor breaking it and for only $150 including shipping. Samsung fixed it to good as new. A great product backed by a great company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great, when it's working. i had this monitor for about a month when it's display port stopped working. the hdmi still works. i contacted support and sent it in for repair. when i got it back, the display port works but it now does not power my laptop. that is one of the reasons i purchased it. it also will flash briefly, a microsecond or so. i read somewhere that this is a known issue and to get a sine wave ups. i did and it still flickers. i'm don't think i would purchaes another.

When streaming in HD the screen is smooth, never choppy. The colors are crisp and clear. No fuzziness or hesitations. The settings are also easy to use and tweeking the colors, sizes and brightness are easily adjusted. This screen will handle all the tasks you give it.

There's no glare and bezels are thin. I also have gotten a lot of compliments on my monitor for it's design. It can be vesa mounted and the sound is also decent. Only minor problems I have with it is that there are some light leaks on the side where the monitor isn't properly glued down and that the chrome looking parts on the photo are plastic and can be scratched easily.

The port selection in the back is nice, especially thunderbolt charging port witch I use every day. USB is also handy especially if you have an external wireless keyboard / mouse with multiple pc attached (ex. laptop and desktop) . i use it for development, and it feels almost as you have two screens side by side. Higly recommend, did not had any issues with it.

I have been on my TV for a good while which is probably why I have somewhat of an issue with this, since theres a difference. However the product is still great and I'd high recommend buying it. I love the white color and the silver base, a great combination truly. Also a remote would have been great to add with the monitor, sometimes reaching in the back can be annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome gaming I bought this monitor for gaming and WAS NOT disappointed it opens up your gaming experience in ways I didn't think possible, it's almost as if you're actually there the first time I used it I thought I had on VR glasses, the colors and graphics are so vivid and pronounced you feel like your walking in an alien world expecting to trip over some piece of scrap junk and you feel like you can rest against a building and the graphics are so vivid you see things you've never seen that you stop to look at things that you risk being shot by opposing players, all in all I highly recommend this monitor it's definitely 5 stars, a 10 out of 10, the only thing missing are the smells although I'm sure their engineers are working on that so until they introduce that I've definitely got my gaming monitor and streaming movies off it is just the same the sounds are clear, crisp and concise along with the picture.

This monitor gives me plenty if room to have the different windows I need opened and still be able to see what is in them. Crystal clear picture means no squinting at lines of code or outputs. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best monitor ever I always wanted an ultra wide monitor and this is the best purchase I've ever made. It's WQHD resolution helps me do multitasking. I am a software developer and benefit a lot from having multiple screens open simultaneously. I can easily open 4 windows on this. It reduces strain on my eyes the colors are crisp. Take that information with grain of salt as I don't work in multimedia but it's good emough for my purpose. This monitor also has two type C ports, one of which can spit out 85W which I use to charge my laptop and said goodbye to the charger. The second type C port can output 15W, which can charge your smartphone. It also has HDMI and USB-A port. Cherry on top is this monitor also has a built in speaker and is loud enough so that I can take my meetings on it. All in all a great purchase. Very happy with it.

Not so happy with the JOG switch functionality. Would prefer using computer settings. This monitor's firmware volume control is not compatible Mac OS.

I try to use a macbook and a windows computer simultaneously on the PBP mode. 890 Series had only 1 type-C connection so I returned it explaining why I buy this monitor. I was adised to buy CJ791 as it had two thunderbolt-3 outputs. Having the proper cabling I connected my macbook and windows PC at the same time over two separate thunderbolts. However, I was shocked to see there is no option to select usb/thunderbolt C for both sources among PBP selections. Hence I end up with paying even more just not to be able to solve my problem again. If there is an update or any solution to help me to display two sources over two thunderbolts at the same time with PBP please contact me this is very frustrutating.

I love the size of this monitor in that I can be modeling and looking at reference images side by side on the same seamless screen while having other windows open in the background. I'm sure if I really studied the pixels during fast action scenes, I may be able to see that my ASUS gaming monitor is better, but after many hours of play, I see no difference in visual quality. Some older games don't always like the wide screen, but most just put black frame bars on the left and right of the game display, using the game's highest preset resolution option with no distortion.

This makes me wonder if i plug in to my mac studio if it will still do the 85 watt charge to my desktop. I dont want it sending a charge to my desktop computer and damage the port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Locks and breaks; poor support After one year, the on screen display locked and I am unable to change the setttings. I am unable to factory reset and customer service cannot help me. It's a software issue that nobody seems to know how to fix without shipping it back in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving the multiple Window feature I purchased this monitor at the beginning of Covid so that I would not have to bring home multiple monitors for my home office. I found it to be perfect to have my personal laptop, work laptop and my Roku plugged into it so I can work and watch multiple windows all at once. I also can plug in my headset and listen to a specific call. The clarity of the monitor is also wonderful.. I hope the next generation of this monitor comes with a remote control so you can do things like turn up/down the volume without having to reach behind the monitor. Also a web camera would be great.

The display is perfect definition wise and lightening . I’ve had it for about four months now and it’s definitely been worth the purchase

I was able to get rid of my external speakers and power block and it gives a great picture. With Displayport 1.1 i was able to add another monitor. Ideally it would have maybe one or two more usb and or one more monitor input option, but i was able to use it quite handily and simplify my setup.

Quality is excellent; I can easily plug in my headphones, though I needed to buy a headphone mic splitter to be able to plug it into the monitor, screen works amazingly even after turning it on, playing video games, and turning it off when I'm done, and audio is clear and loud enough for me to hear! If I can't hear anything without my headphones, I can just turn up the volume or turn down the volume if it's too loud! It also never shuts off randomly and anyone can easily plug their gaming laptop or PC into the monitor without any problems at all. Since it is a widescreen monitor, you have to turn your head to look at a different spot in the screen, but for me, I'm totally fine with that! I am completely satisfied with my monitor!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! A fantastic monitor with a great picture I mainly use this monitor for work - sometimes personal. This replaced two 24" monitors and what a beautiful site to have no gap in the middle anymore. And the curved nature of the monitor reduced the amount of head turning I need to do which is helpful for me personally. The screen is crisp, clear, and clean. It comes with a lot of options to change the look (e.g. brightness, color depth, energy saving, eye saver, etc.). Nothing was mentioned in the description but there are speakers in this monitor! The annoying thing, though, is you control the volume via the multi dial in the back corner which to me is not convenient. But the speakers sound good and may eliminate my Creative Pebbles for more desk space. I have played games (e.g. Torchlight 3) and it was awesome full screen. But the screen is big enough to have an area for chatting, your game screen, etc. I am not an avid gamer so for what I do the monitor was very responsive. For work, this monitor is amazing! I cannot believe how much easier it is to do things with one large monitor screen. Especially copying and pasting between apps. And if needed, I can open an app full screen - I am a scheduler so files with a lot of columns can be viewed with less scrolling. Overall, this is a monitor I highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from STAY AWAY BAD MONITOR EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I typically don't write reviews, but felt compelled to make the next person aware to avoid this monitor and more so my experience with dealing with Samsung. This is the second monitor that I have purchased from Samsung in which the plastic bezels have started to crack in the corners of the monitor (See the first 4 pics). Let me preface this by saying I do like and own several Samsung televisions and the wrote off the issue with the first monitor as being a one off. What is more frustrating than the cracks in the bezels is the way I was treated when I trying to remedy the issues. Initially when I reached out to Samsung they issued a ticket number for the incident and I was asked to provided pictures of the issues, which was very reasonable request. I was able to send pictures of the product information and the cracking directly to the Samsung rep by text, which was also very convenient. I was then told by the Samsung that a technician would need to review the picture, also seemed reasonable. I then got a quick response from Samsung that the case had been closed. I reached back out to the Samsung rep , and the technician had determined that these cracks are part of the design, which I then called back and had to explain they are not and the Samsung rep and I were able to figure out the technician actually had used the different (incorrect) model of Samsung monitor for comparison. After second review with correct model of monitor the Samsung agreed this was defect and issued a return label for me to send back the monitor for repair. That was also coinvent as I just had to take it to a UPS store and they would actually pack and ship the monitor back to Samsung. I shipped the monitor back and about 10 days later it was received notification that it have been received at the repair center and I was told the repair was going to be $329 (happens to be the cost of buying this monitor new). I reached out to the customer service and was told the technician had determined the product was damaged which voided the warranty, and after heated conversation was then given another number to call and follow up with the service center itself. I called the number I was given for the service center it was a fax number. I then went back through the information and called another 888 number for the service center and explained the cracks develop over time and like I stated before I had the same issue with another monitor, and I sent in the monitor for repair only after it had already been reviewed by a technician that this was not damage. I was told this was determined to be damage and the warranty was voided so the repair would cost $329. I then asked for the monitor to be sent back and after my experience I would not longer purchase Samsung monitors both personally or professionally. I was then told the return information would be provided shortly and transferred to Samsung automate survey (which I did not complete). I happened to use my office land and I think after they realized who I was I immediately got a call from a third Samsung representative offering to waive the cost of the repair and the monitor would be returned in 3-7 business days, but the damage had been done in terms of my opinion of Samsung customer service and impression of Samsung monitor quality. I am cautiously optimistic that it will come back repaired but it would not be worth the hassle when there are so many other lower cost and equivalent monitor options than Samsung. ***UPDATE*** I got an email from Samsung that the monitor was being returned unrepaired. When reached back out to Samsung and after a back and for 45 minutes I was told I was being transferred to a supervisor and actually was sent to a Technical Support Rep. The technical support person explained that the one time accommodation was made to cover the cost of the repair, however, it was not communicated properly to the service center and they had mistakenly sent the monitor back. The representative said that I when I receive the unrepaired returned monitor to call back and they would issue a new ticket and then I would be able to send the monitor back for repair. Within the week the monitor came back, but it was substantially damage (see the last 6 pics). The corner of the screen was shattered, there were large pieces missing, and new damage on the top of the monitor. I immediately called Samsung and again after another hour on the phone sent them the pictures of the damage and was told by the Samsung supervisor that the monitor is out of warranty due to physical damage and would not be able to be repaired or replaced, furthermore the monitor should not have been sent to the repair center (which I did not understand as the original Samsung rep is the one who issued the return label for me to have it packed and shipped by UPS). I was then told that even though they had damaged the monitor to the point that it was not working there was nothing they could do, but they opened another ticket and stated they would get back to me in 48hrs. This makes no sense, the pictures are worth 1000 words, I sent them a monitor with a defective plastic bezel and they destroyed it and sent it back to me and told me it was unrepairable. I wish I would have never bought this, let this be a lesson to anyone buying Samsung products about how they treat their customer after the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The thunderbolt is amazing The main reason for me buying this monitor was due the the color of the back and the size of the screen. The crisp white with silver edging went perfect with my gaming PC, as well as the slim border to enhance the experience. The performance has been amazing. It's quick and vibrant color. The only thing I've found annoying is the button for the settings and on off, it requires a double tap to turn on. Then to turn off its tap down tap again. I'd recommend a separate button for power and menu.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added another 1 Good multi-functional monitors. Having the ability to PIP enhances multi-tasking. Aesthetics and charging ports puts this monitor in the upper tiers for home and small business use. I have two or my primary work stations and three for my Flight sim setup.
