This rack-mount line-interactive UPS system provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, surges and line noise that can damage your valuable IT equipment or destroy data. The SMART1500RMXL2U is ideal power management for high-end in-rack networking equipment, including servers, VoIP phones, data storage and PoE switches. Unity power factor ensures the most watts possible at each power rating, so you can connect more equipment.

The field-replaceable, hot-swappable VRLA battery modules allow you to work through short power failures and give you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Switchover from line to battery power happens within milliseconds to maintain continuous operation of connected equipment without interruption or rebooting. Extra runtime is available by connecting up to four optional extended battery modules.

The WEBCARDLXE network interface enables full remote configuration and management, including load shedding, reboots of connected equipment and safe shutdowns. The IP-based Auto Probe feature ensures continuous network uptime by communicating with other network devices, detecting lost connectivity and automatically rebooting IT equipment.

Eight managed 5-15R outlets provide connected equipment with pure sine wave AC output and allow you to monitor power consumption down to the outlet group level. Power provided by these outlets is filtered to protect connected equipment against damaging surges and line noise. Four outlets are grouped into two programmable load banks that let you shed non-critical loads to extend runtime for critical loads. Front and rear cooling fans help protect equipment from overheating.

AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts. The SMART1500RMXL2U maintains regulated 120V nominal output during brownouts and overvoltages from 80 V to 151V while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure.

This UPS system filters out disruptive electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that can inflict hardware damage or data loss. This EMI/RFI filtering also helps your connected components perform better and last longer.

By meeting strict U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements, this ENERGY STAR 2.0 UPS system provides high operational efficiency to signal a reduction in BTU emissions, save on utility and cooling costs and help protect the environment.

The two-line front-panel LCD monitoring screen features 10 selectable screens that allow quick access to a wide range of detailed UPS and site power information. LEDs show UPS status: a green light means utility power is on, an orange light means the UPS is in battery mode and a red light indicates an active alarm or fault. The control panel rotates to accommodate both rack-mount and tower configurations.

RS-232 and USB ports connect to a device for a variety of communication options (cables are included).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ProductThe UPS unit works well. The only issue was with the USB connection to the server fighting for port rights with the current KVM switch. This was resolved after calling tech support. The usb devices had to be unhooked from the server and after a reboot of the server, plug in the UPS to the USB, then after a few minutes plug in the KVM

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable, Dependable - gets the job done!Although we use an emergency medical-grade generator for back-up power on our network, generators can cause unwanted power lags during switchover, inconsistent power, and unstable line noise that effects sensitive equipment. While connected to the Tripp-lite SmartPro 1.5kVA 1350W Line Interactive Sine Wave UPS our router, server, backup device and switches run smoothly and unaffected during surges, brown-outs and lengthy black-outs. Unexpected re-boots, unplanned configuration changes are a thing of the past. And, the sporadic data corruption problems we once had are gone. We also purchased smaller Tripp-lite units for mission critical workstations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use - Good FeaturesThis is my second Tripplite product and I'm very happy with the ease in which it works. Software can be a little tricky for first-time users; but telephone support is very good. Once you install one; the others are easy. I'm running a Tripplite UPS on my server and one workstation - I will be purchasing more in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two units in services and pleasedI bought one unit and soon after the second. Pleased with the straight forward status menu and options. One week after installing we had a power outage and the unit help up fine even though the outage was long term. The servers shut down and the unit lasted as long as expected. Once back on unit charge quickly and no issue. Pleased with purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peace of MindI like this unit and it was on of four models types I purchased for computer, entertainment and security devices. The thing I really like about this one is that it lets me know usage immediately and daily. The only thing I do not like is that sometimes the fan gets sort of loud, almost like a buzzing. Small price to pay for the protection it provides. I generally am only using 23% of the rating with a computer tower, two displays, four external RAID drives, a television and DirectTV box. This gives me 29 minutes of outage power which will extend itself if I turn off unnecessary devices.
