3kVA/3kW/120V Battery Backup for Distributed IT, Telecom or Enterprise Deployments
This rack-mount line-interactive UPS system provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, surges and line noise that can damage your IT equipment or destroy data. The SMART3000RM2U is ideal power management for high-end in-rack networking equipment, including servers, VoIP phones, data storage and PoE switches. Unity power factor ensures the most watts possible at each power rating, so you can connect more equipment.

Reliable Battery Backup Keeps You Operational Through Power Outages
The field-replaceable, hot-swappable VRLA battery modules allow you to work through short power failures and give you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Switchover from line to battery power happens within milliseconds to maintain continuous operation of connected equipment without interruption or rebooting.

Optional LX Platform Network Management Card Allows Remote Access 24/7
The WEBCARDLXE network interface (sold separately) enables full remote configuration and management, including load shedding, reboots of connected equipment and safe shutdowns. The IP-based Auto Probe feature ensures continuous network uptime by communicating with other network devices, detecting lost connectivity and automatically rebooting IT equipment. Optional EnviroSense2 modules (E2MT, E2MTDO and E2MTHDI, all sold separately) provide a variety of environmental monitoring and control options.

NEMA Outlets Protect Your Connected Components
One L5-30R and six 5-20R managed outlets provide connected equipment with pure sine wave AC output and allow you to monitor power consumption down to the outlet group level. Power provided by these outlets is filtered to protect connected equipment against damaging surges and line noise. Four 5-20R outlets are split into two independently switchable load banks that let you shed non-critical loads to extend runtime for critical loads. Front and rear cooling fans help protect equipment from overheating.

Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) Corrects Low- and High-Voltage Conditions
AVR protects your equipment from incremental hardware damage, data loss and performance problems caused by brownouts. The SMART3000RM2U maintains regulated 120V nominal output during brownouts and overvoltages from 80V to 151V while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure.

Premium Protection from EMI/RFI Line Noise Helps Your Equipment Perform Better
This UPS system filters out disruptive electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that can inflict hardware damage or data loss. This EMI/RFI filtering also helps your connected components perform better and last longer.

Intuitive Front-Panel Interface for Convenient UPS Operation and Monitoring
The two-line front-panel LCD monitoring screen features 10 selectable screens that allow quick access to a wide range of detailed UPS and site power information. LEDs show UPS status: a green light means utility power is on, an orange light means the UPS is in battery mode and a red light indicates an active alarm or fault. The interface rotates to accommodate both rack-mount and tower configurations.

Advanced Communications Ports Allow for Automatic Saves and Shutdowns
RS-232 and USB ports connect to a device for a variety of communication options (cables are included). A dry-contact relay port can be programmed through the LCD to provide reliable communications to automation and industrial components. The RPO/ROO port permits emergency shutdown or remote restart of all connected equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little Engine that CouldWe currently use this box to power several network switches and also servers. We always used APC in the past but kept having issues with batteries. We have had these for 3 years and so far no issues. We haven't seen much loss of up time due to battery decay. I would recommend this ups for anybody that is looking for a cost effective solution for power outages and power conditioning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Feel Like a Smart ProWe purchased a pair of the SmartPro 3000RM2U units and could not be happier. The hardest part was lifting them into the server rack (they are heavy as expected). Load balancing and configuration was very easy and we love the notification options if we loose power or have issues. The install was so easy that when finished I totally felt like a Smart Pro~fessional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY RELIABLEI have been using this product on most of my IP networking equipment in a cable TV headend. This has been one of the most reliable UPS that I have ever used in the headend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! Till you need to Replace the Batteries-When you have the number of units we have; battery disposal is a huge consideration I'm the Engineer responsible for UPS installations for a medium sized biotech in San Francisco. We have approximately 80 UPS ranging from 220v for our server racks to providing 120v 60hz protection for RT/PCT Thermal Cyclers and other sensitive scientific instrument used for next-generation genomic sequencing. Tripp Lite does the job, however, nothing last forever. My key observation is Tripp doesn't provide battery disposal and APC does. We are phasing out all Tripp Lite as they are a massive inconvenience to operate. I think we are finally on the last one where it's due to be disposed of. It still works but it needs batteries. APC costs twice as much but take it from me, on the back end you're saving huge on disposal fees, if you can find someone to take them. Thanks.,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy OwnerI use this on my entertainment system, and am quite satisfied; as this is the second unit I have purchased for this purpose. My first unit quit charging the batteries after 6 years of faithful service. Tripplite won't provide prints, being handy with an iron, I'm sure I could repair my old one....but that's another story. I get numerous power-bumps or voltage fluctuations monthly and have never experienced an issue with either TV or multiple DVR's & HTPC's crashing. I have to believe that this has helped keep my 10 year old electronics from ending-up in a scrap heap. Only minute complaint would be the minimal run-time with the default battery's supplied. Although, if everything is running during an outage, I still have a good 7 minutes to get it all shut down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't Let Me DownI've been using the SMART3000RM2U on film sets for the past six months in a rack mount case. The UPS has exceeded my expectations for a dual computer setup. Part of my job as the Digital Imaging Technician is to ensure the safety of the Hard Drives on which the entire film is kept and the SMART3000RM2U is a powerful component to my job's backup requirements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, Cost Effective ProductThis is our third purchase of this model and all have been very good products. They are simple to use and very reliable. We added a NIC and use the PowerAlert software on our hosts. We've tested it multiple times, but the bottom line was that it worked when we had a severe storm and the power went out. I would highly recommend this product.
