Tripp Lite UPS 3000VA 2400W Smart Online Rackmount 110V / 120V USB DB9 3URM is rated4.50 out of5 by2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI have installed 4 of these in 2 racks. One of them had a bad battery pack that exposed itself 3 weeks after initial installation. Tech support sent another pack out, a little slower than my liking, I believe it was 4-5 days. I had it coupled with the PDUMH15ATNET, which allows you to take advantage of two UPS devices from single PSU appliances (like switches, routers, etc) and did not have any issues with switching to avoid power disruption to those devices. I did have to connect the devices from the unit with the dead battery pack to a couple workstation APC 1500va UPSs while I waited for the new battery pack, as the device is apparently designed to not power on if the battery is dead/faulty. Mostly why I gave it 4 stars...The fit and finish leaves a bit to be desired (especially compared to APC) but these are significantly cheaper. You can expand the capacity/run-time with daisy-chainable packs, which allows for flexibility for expansion. And after running them for almost 2 years, I have not experienced any other issues. Make sure you get the snmp webcard for monitoring, alerts and control of the unit.We have had a couple of power fluctuations and outages and they performed as expected. Gave me enough time to gracefully shutdown the less important servers and once, after realizing it was going to be awhile, I still had plenty of power to gracefully shutdown the rest of my servers.Note: When powering them on, only hold the power button until you hear the beep. If you hold longer than the beep, they won't power on. Not sure why or who thought this was a good idea.
