Rated 5 out of 5 by from No support for multiple locationsThe mobile app does not support multiple location (e.g. switches installed at a Primary home and Vacation home). The purpose of these types of switches is to be able to monitor and control devices when you are not physically there. This is a serious limitation.

Last summer when I purchased two of them Belkin couldn't get the second one functional. They ended up calling me back weeks later when I placed several service requests...When I have time to start the process all over again and have prepared myself for challenges in setting these up, I will open the box and start again.

It is currently controlling my heat pump via schedules and saves a lot of money every day. If I get home early I can turn it on from my phone or tablet - so easy. And power consumption is recorded as well.

I wish that the app would graph hourly/daily/ weekly/ annual consumption.

Does everything I need it to do, and more, including control of the outlets remotely, displaying power use over time, and also a grouped "away from home" randomization cycle. It's a bit bulkier than it appears in photos, but still a great product.

The only thing the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because a couple of times it went offline when I was really counting on it to work other than that it's highly recommended from me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice FeaturesFirst, I had no problem setting up the Wemo Insight.Writing here on some features not mentioned in any comments so far.Reason for using the Insight; I had purchased a Ford Fusion Energi and wanted to know how much it was costing me to recharge it. My router is on one side of the house, the WEMO HUB is about in the middle and the Insight is in the garage on the opposite side of the house. No connection issues.The cool features;Editing the Insight with your app, you can set the cost/Kwh. I get this by taking my electric bill total and divide it by the total Kwh usage on the bill. With that I get an approximate of how much it cost me per Kwh.Additional feature, still in edit mode, I set the Data Export option to email me a CSV file once a week. Your other options are Now, Daily or Monthly. Using MS Excel to read this file, the sheet contains Day's cost, Kwh consumption and several other columns of information for each day of use. It just keeps adding rolls maintaining all previous data. Given, there are other devices that can do the same thing, but I can see the current consumption on the app and when my car texts me it is fully charge, I turn off the Wemo Insight using the same app.

Right now I am controlling my back deck lights and my Christmas tree with two versions of these. I turn them on and off twice a day, sometimes with sunrise/sunset an d other times with the clock. We live in Ontario, yet I can randomly control the lights from our home in Florida. And, I have two security cameras that can watch or it will save motion incidents I can go back to.

They’re bigger than I expected but the fact that they function without a hub is nice. I got two of them and had issues setting one of them up. I was able to reset it and get it working but it really brought to my attention that the reset button is awkwardly positioned. It’s difficult to hold down while plugging in.The app is intuitive and getting my plugs labeled so I know which light I’m turning on/off was easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but needs improvementIt was a little finicky getting it programmed I had to uninstall the app a few times before it would recognize the switch. You can't control Wemos from multiple locations with the same device. Each location has to be on a separate app so you would have to have it on two different devices. Once I was able to finally get it programmed and upgrade the firmware it has worked very well.

I tried to add a Wemo to a different house and their app does not allow it, says you need a second smart phone for a second location. I want to control any number of Wemo's across multiple locations from the app on my phone, not multiple phones.

I was excited because I had wanted to integrate smart technology with my Google Home. It was easy to set up and worked great so I bought 2 mini plugs. Now this Senior has 3 lights that work via voice control and a timer. I love it!

I use 2 to control roof deicing cables and 1 for a fan heater in my garage. When I am away for 3 months in the winter I can remotely confirm, by seeing the power usage, that these devices are not just power enabled, but actually running.

I do however wish that it had outlets for 2 appliances, so I could use the same timer for both the aquarium light and heater. That’s the only reason I took away a star.
