Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great UpgradeI was up in the mountains of East Tennessee for a family vacation and on the second day my Canon 60D started displaying error codes and then failed completely. Been using it for 5 years and it has received a lot of hard knocks. I've been looking at the 80D for a while as a possible upgrade so drove to the top of the mountain ridge where I could get a cell signal and ordered one from Amazon next day delivery. The family does a lot of skiing & wakeboarding and the new camera captured some unbelievable action shots (of course I'm using quality stabilized Canon lens.) Very happy with my decision to purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In a world full of Sony, this is a gemLet me first state that this is a FANTASTIC camera for YouTube, vlogging more specifically. The loss of 4K is made up by incredibly accurate autofocus during video. I mainly shoot video, but it is also a beast in the sense of photography. I have two 80Ds in my house. The weather sealing is also important to me, and it works. The traditional Canon interface makes it easy for almost anyone to learn their way around it. The prices on lenses also make it easy to gravitate to Canon naturally anyway. I also own a Canon G7X Mark II, as well as a GoPro Hero 5 Black, but the amazing quality of the 80D makes me forget about the weight when vlogging, compared to the G7X's nearly weightless body of 11oz. All of the Manual controls and freedom to customize your camera is amazing, whatever your styles may be with the 80D you can make it your own camera. Also, the touch and articulating screen. This is GOLDEN if you're vlogging. You need this feature 100%. Finally, battery life is really good on this camera. After a full day of shooting and reviewing media in playback, I only go through 1 1/2 to 2 batteries. Say goodbye to buying 5 Sony batteries! If you buy this product and you give it a shot, I guarantee that you will love it. Whether it's the autofocus, 1080p60 slow-mo, burst rate of 7fps, or manual options, you're going to love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the CameraI bought the camera about a month ago and I am very satisfied. Auto focus has worked very well. For the features I was looking for and the amount I wanted to spend the 80D had it all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent camera.I got this for Christmas as an upgrade from my Rebel T5 and it is awesome. So much quieter shooting, faster start up from off, the battery has lasted several days so far (my Rebel battery definitely wouldn't. I got it with the new 18-135mm lens and I love the lens also. The bokeh is smooth, it is sharp, smooth manual focus. I have yet to test out my other lenses so far because I'm still getting used to this new lens and I'm thoroughly enjoying using it. I also like being able to use the camera connect app to transfer pictures to my phone. I just wish I could choose too save to my SD card rather than the device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't live without DPAF! Really like this camera.I've used many Canon bodies and I must say that the images from this camera keep surprising me. Take a look at Photons to Photos for Dynamic range measurements and you'll see that at ISOs up to 250 it ranks among the highest of Canon's offerings, outperforming the 5D III, 6D, 6D II and others. With dual pixel focusing and the articulating LCD, this camera makes a great all-around performer for both video and stills. With DPAF I use the video function often now (never could focus with any accuracy recording video of moving subjects on my 5D III). I use the integrated flash often for convenient fill and family pics. My favorite lenses for this camera are the 24-70 2.8 II and 35 f/2 IS. You can't go wrong with this combination for portability, versatility, and can really take some seriously high quality images in RAW or JPEG. JPEGs have nice color and really shine with minor editing. Wish my new 5D IV had an integrated flash and the articulating LCD. For those reasons, I often take my 80D out of convenience, knowing that I can still produce outstanding images.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Failed focus at f8Very disappointed. Bought this camera specifically for f/8 focus. Used with 300mm f4 L IS and Extender EF 2x II. Results, completely fuzzy, no focus at all. All the other bells and whistles seem fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for the buck camera from Canon's lineupThis thing has every feature that a hobbyist such as myself needs (although I don't do much with video so the lack of 4k isn't an issue for me). My refurbished copy had less than 10 shutter actuation's when I received it, so basically a brand new camera (or maybe it was brand new as I played with it for a few minutes before checking). The Burst mode is lightning fast and has a generous buffer size. For my wildlife photography I am very pleased with the touch auto-focus and have recommended it to multiple friends.
