The more data we transferred from the old computer to the new dell, the slower it became and was freezing up until will got the blue screen of death. The hard drive less then half-full after we had transferred all the data. I returned the laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Dell, using products for years but this keyboard is horrible I love Dell, have been using Dell computers at least since 2005 if not earlier but the keyboard for this laptop is absolutely horrible. Think you could stand a so-so or one where every time you use it you say, "this is a horrible keyboard, I hate typing on it, it's hard to press, doesn't feel good" and you make mistake after mistake". And you feel this way because you've typed on other keyboards where you say, "this is awesome, feels good, it's smooth, fluid, it's fun to type on". And something so basic and probably the easiest component to make. It came down to, can I stand this keyboard, using it day in, day out, all throughout each day and when I found myself saying "I hate this keyboard" every time I used it, I realized I couldn't live with it.

Could use some information with computer like keys for bios and startup menu, list of ports and spec's for audio out line. Price was good as was choice of alternatives in computer configuration. I shall continue to be a Dell user and recommend Dell to friends.

The only thing I don't like is the mousepad; it is difficult to use correctly. I don't know why, and I can't quite explain, but it is just difficult to click correctly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Poor Keyboard, Internal battery The Dell 3510 is tolerably OK, but the non-standard keyboard makes typing slow and cumbersome. It is just too wide. Dell should just put a more standard (narrower) laptop keyboard on it. Also the battery is 100% internal, not accessible nor removable. Basically the entire back must be removed for any maintenance at all.

The case is cheap plastic. The touchpad is horrible. The mouse buttons crunch like there's debris beneath them. The touchpad is UNUSABLE in the BIOS. There's no discernable way to turn off Secure Boot or disable UEFI. I would never recommend this laptop to anyone.

The keys have a cheap plastic feel and the space bar is not very responsive at all. Which means in virtually every sentence I type I have to stop, go back, and separate two or more words that run together because the space bar engage.

I installed Ubuntu (20.04) as a dual-boot; there were a couple hoops to jump through with the HD having a RST (raid-like) setup for the HD and encryption. These had to be disabled, but then the install worked fine.

Ridiculous. I just wiped the machine and sent it back. Dell gets 5 stars for return service. I tried to call and couldn't get a human; so I just set up return online, printed label and sent it in. Didn't even have to talk to a human; they don't seem to care if you return.

A service tech diagnosed the issue as a software issue, and a software tech worked to resolve the issue (the tech was excellent, very patient & professional). The connectivity issue was resolved, however, when a Windows update was installed on the machine, the problem has returned and the computer will not connect to the internet. I've owned the computer for less than 3 months, and it has never connected property to the internet, and now I'm having to pay to have it fixed. I have owned Dell computers for nearly 20 years, and this is the first time an issue like this has occurred. It is very frustrating to purchase a computer that never connected to the internet properly, then have to pay to get it fixed. Very frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not That Great Somewhat disappointed in this product. Seems to be a tremendous amount of background overhead constantly running and slowing things down. Hard drive spins almost non-stop. On top of all that Dell force feeds some of their own utilities that pop up just about every time the system refreshes or boots. In hindsight the Dell I had previously from my company's IT dept ran much more efficiently, even with all the corporate overhead processes and VPN running in the background. You can do better than this Dell! At some point I will probably just nuke the entire OS and turn this into a Linux machine.

Almost FALSE advertisement. You can easily scratch of the laptop. I have only had it 3 weeks and most leave it closed on my desk, but yet there are tons of scratches. AND, here is the BIG AND on week 1 my screen went completely dark. You can barely see anything. I keeping it was the new Dell Docking Station that disrupted the screen but not the case. Dell has to send a technician out to replace a the screen. Unbelievable! I am beyond upset. Brand new laptop needing a replacement screen...NOT DURABLE. Dell said its possible that it could have gotten injured in shipping.

The video is barely good enough for work use. It takes a long time to turn on, and freezes up repeatedly. I purchased a Latitude 3510 Laptop because I had used a Dell Latitude for work, so I expected performance to be similar, and keys to be in the same places. Fooled me! John Seip

However, it does have enterprise options like support for 2 sizes of M.2 drives and NVMe controllers for booting. Not bad hardware, but it is overpriced. If I had not needed something with similar specifications in a hurry I would not have purchased this.
