Does not automatically work. Settings have to be changed and unless you are a tech geek you cannot get it to work on older computers

Adapter works great. Using a Element TV with HDMI. Plugged in to Dell Inspiron works great. Even has sound working on the TV. No software updates needed. Running Windows 11.

The attachment cord necessity
It works for my computer..the computer should have been made for the hdmi cord instead of needing the attachment cord.

Great Price - Did The Job
I purchased this Dell adapter because I had HDMIs coming off two 4K screens in a conference room which I needed to convert to display ports so that I could plug into my Dell docking station which sits at the conference room table. This worked perfectly!

Don't use this adapter setup
I was told I needed this adapter to connect my Dell monitor HDMI connection to my docking station. After having significant problems getting the performance I expected, I was told that the adapter would not work in the way I was told it would work. Once I returned to using native HDMI connections to both my PC and my docking station everything began to work as anticipated.
