Now when I access the Smart App it notes that I have incorrect cartridges. When I originally received the Black and Yellow cartridges, there was no means for reporting the shipment error.

I called HP and got a new cartridge for only $19!,, plus, they sent me an envelope with postage paid for me to recycle my old ink cartridge! Customer service was very polite and helpful. I’m so glad I finally bought an HP printer. They have excellent customer service. My garage was full of new broken other brand computer printers. I’ve had my HP for a little over a year and I love it!

Something that is original from the manufacturer and I can't believe what they doing 17 print out and already need the black and one of the colors. I found a big retailer that sells the cartridges and they're full and its original ink. Never again will I buy anything HP HP computer HP printers HP anything. I have taken a video of this review I am putting out there because once HP resist that not going to put it.

I tried to go online to fix it and ended up with an external firm taking control of my computer. I tried to call HP about this and cannot find a telephone number anywhere. In the years that I have been using this method the ink has always been of excellent quality and the order has always been delivered the next business day, as promised. This was a factor when I chose my current printer. Knowing HP provides great service in addition to quality ink is a big bonus.

The printer alerted me that the cartridge was out of ink and the cartridge, since it was new, must have been counterfeit. Now I know why I always went to an office supply store for my ink. Travesty!!

Before I installed it in the printer, The very next day, I received the full box of four cartridges, as part of my ink plan. The black ink will not print, the clean print head function will not work, the virtual agent is useless. I understand there are more important things than my ink issue to worry about. I will trash my printer and buy one from a company that still employs human beings, even if they can work from home.

In recent years HP has insisted on uploading to the printer in a way that my choices of ink are limited to only HP ink. No discount and cost to their inkMind you. I had to put the old cartridge back in, getting a message that said "Previously Used HP Product", but at least it printed a page for me. Actually, I would not have needed the ink just yet, however my order prior to this shipped me the wrong ink cartridges. Naturally, I started to open one of the two - and realized it was the wrong number. Shipped HP906 Black Cartridges in stead of HP902. Will all the hectic things going on at the time, I had to have the order rushed to me. Now I have two cartridges that I cannot use, do not anylonger have the packing slip nor the invoice...what can I do except surrender them for recycle and am out several dollars. Pat S.

We cleaned it up and it still worked. Our other 3 colors blue, yellow and red were all empty when we incerted them. I had to run to town to buy new one’s so I could print what I needed. Won’t order again because it’s hard to reach a customer service on the matter and ink shouldn’t ever come empty.

I got it second hand and the previous owner had an instant ink subscription and I had no idea that rendered the printer useless until I could replace the ink with non instant ink cartridges. Then this order honestly took a long time to arrive and then I had to source the other colors locally anyways because it wouldn't run with just black. Now I have all this unused instant ink that is just meant to go to waste?! Between the instant ink program and the hassle of all this replacement I've been pretty displeased with my HP printer experience:(

Until now. I became a teacher and bought a second HP printer for my classroom since they have been so reliable. I saw that I could add the printer to my instant ink program. Awesome! The problem I face is that I need to have the printer on the internet network at school and I am not allowed. I tried using my phone as a hotspot and that’s a no go. So now, not only do I have instant ink for my home printer, I am back to purchasing ink for my work printer so that I can use it. I wish I knew before I bought it.

However, I feel that it is wrong for my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 printer's firmware to reject all but genuine HP ink cartridges! I recently purchased another brand's colored ink cartridges, since they were much cheaper, and documented that they were suitable for use in my printer. However, I had to return them, because my printer wouldn't print using ink cartridges without an HP chip in them! I should be able to use other brands if I want to, since they are definitely much cheaper than HP ink cartridges!

I have been buying the better ones, but they have went up in price so much I cannot afford them any longer. Ok at least they have smaller ones to take up where the big ones have failed
