Excellent product, easy on the eyes
I had a 15.6-inch 1920x1080 laptop hooked up to an old 19-inch 1280x1024 display, used many hours daily for a home business and general use. My eyes are not getting any younger and I have been wanting to upgrade the remote display for a while. After looking at the Z24n versus the Dell U2415 for over a year, I saw this Z24n G-2, model # 1JS09A4, the version with the 3 USB 3.0 ports, which seemed better. Right out of the box, the display (adjusted to 75% brightness) is far better than either of the other two displays that I was using. The colors are more vibrant and, important for business use, the letters are sharp and clear. The lighting seems even across the panel and no backlight bleeding is evident. I like the extra vertical real estate considering the 1280x1024 19-inch display it replaced. The stand is especially nice - sturdy with a large slot for cables and easy vertical, tilt and rotation movement, even allowing the panel to be set vertically.
Of significance is a 3-year warranty. Also, this is considered a "Commercial" product and, as such, through the Business division comes with dedicated technical support for the warranty period. There is only a simple visual setup sheet and no user manual, but support.hp.com provides lots of additional information.

Excellent image quality but I have two suggestion
I have been using the monitor intensely for a week. Very high quality image, easy to put together, fabulous overnight delivery from HP. There are two issues with he machine. First, neither the quick setup guide nor the larger instruction manual show which position of the master switch is on. (It is not the side with eh circle, it is the side with the line. Not intuitive.) This sent be to visit with HP's excellent tech service.Second, if you have a MacBook with USB-C cables, use the HDMI video cables and a MacBook dongle.. Your life will be easier

Great Monitor
I really like this monitor a lot. It is a great size (business use) for me without taking up too much real estate on my desk. My only complaint is that even using ClearType, the text is not especially crisp. Not a deal breaker, I just wish it was sharper. I work on a lot of spreadsheets, so it can be straining on the eyes. Overall, still a good monitor.

Honestly, Only Compliments.
The monitor is just what I needed for personal office and internet use, and we all know there is no clear distinction anymore.
The hardware and software worked first time with no issues. I look at a lot of white paper during the day, so I turned the brightness down to 50%. If anyone needs more light for photo viewing or editing it's there.
The aspect ratio is ideal for wider spreedsheets without my head and eyes tracing side to side.
The pixel pitch is better than most monitors of this size and details are far better than most downloaded images.
It's a fair price for a great product.

Great home office monitor
I bought this for my home office - could not be happier. Crisp resolution, I love the aspect ratio for the extra vertical display. Would definitely buy this again.

Great performance at a reasonable cost
This display was purchased to replace an existing HP display that was still working great but put off quite a bit of heat. We wanted something with similar performance and build quality and was more energy efficient than the 11 year old display it replaced.

beautiful screen but only allows proprietary cable
I bought this a month ago and I am happy with the product. However, I purchased a high-quality data cable that is not made by HP and I get continuous messages to replace the cable with an HP cable.
