I am using the laptop usually for the programing purposes, and sometimes the temperatures of cores reach 100 C. The laptop woke up twice by its own with increased desktop brightness.

As far as I have used it, it reacts fast and easily plugs to my two 24" HD monitors without issue. It is also very light but has lots of ports. The body seems to be made of resistant aluminum.

I've used the Lenovo T14s ThinkPad from work for a no. of years and have been super satisfied with it and so when I quit my job, I decided to buy one for my personal use. Lenovo had a special online deal on their T14s that made it even better for me. It's worth every penny and has all the features one needs (sleek and ergonomic design, light weight, speed, storage etc.) and the entire package is complete value for money. I highly recommend it.

The finger print scanner is nice, making it easy and secure to access the laptop. Having an i7 processor and 8 GB RAM allows for me to complete everything for work quickly. Only issues I found is that I'm having issues with Adobe Creative Suite. Unsure if it's on Adobe's side or this laptop, but neither side is sure the issue.

The 14" size feels much smaller than I thought it would, and I use an external monitor as my primary screen to get around this. All in all it's great but just be sure you're ready for a 14" screen before purchasing.

Received it from work and was a skeptical due to the X1 Carbon I had from my previous job, but this performs better and does not have the annoying "quirks" that the x1 carbon has. (ie - the x1 carbon - when opening up the laptop to start work, it would take a good 2 minutes on average to re-establish its connection to the internet.) So far so good and really can't complain - may update later when I have used it more

The keyboard is very soft and quiet when you type on it even if you hit it hard. I especially love this feature because I can work at night very quietly without making noises. Keyboard lights are super cool and comes handy when you need it. Lenovo came out stylishly with this model and I love it. This is great for personal and professional use. This is by far my best well spent money in 2021. I'll do it again without regrets and I recommend this to everyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thunderbolt 3 Dock & Webcam Flickering So far almost everything is perfect--it is fast and lightweight, and runs smoothly with one exception. I have a Thunderbolt 3 dock connected to an external webcam and there is regular flickering when I use the camera with Zoom. I did a fair amount of googling and it seems to be an issue particular to Lenovos and Thunderbolt docks--and it's an issue that's been around a while. There is a thread on the Lenovo help community regarding the issue and while some options to correct the problems are mentioned, they are far from straightforward. My hope was that I simply needed to update firmware but it's nowhere near that simple and requires digging into BIOS settings. My other (minor!) issue has been finding a sleeve that fits it! I wouldn't let that deter me from buying it again as it is the size I want but for anyone who cares greatly about custom-sized sleeves, you might need to look elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So light, it takes getting used to I owned the Thinkpad 450s for five years. Loved it. I've written two novels on it, along with countless articles. The keyboard is what I love most, but it traveled so well. I took it to China a couple of years ago. So light. I'm in the middle of another novel, and I was worried the T14s would not have a keyboard I liked. It did not disappoint me. This keyboard is actually better. Quieter. Nicer feel. Longer key travel. It work for me, especially when I'm writing 80,000 words in a few months. My only real adjustment is the weight. It is so light that it sometimes moves a little too much on my counter top when I rest my hands on it. I have already adjusted to it. So this is not a complaint. The fingerprint key to the laptop is a little finicky. But I use the four-digit code anyway. Keep making Thinkpads like this one ...

When you are running multiple programs, battery doesn't last as long, especially if in long Zoom meetings. Wish it had another USB port. Overall, meets my needs as a college instructor using Zoom, Office, statistical programs, and just being on the internet all day.

I use it so often while sitting on the davenport, looking something or another up, because of things said on TV. I wish I'd had it long ago:). I'd put off getting one because I didn't like the idea of a "mouseball" to roll, which isn't in the picture anymore:). I bought a wired mouse to use with it, since I keep touching the lower right corner of the trackpad, getting a drop-down menu in my way. I'm noticing all newscasters have one these days, even noting that Martha Raddatz had a ThinkPad the other day, with its distinctive red TrackPoint center button! I highly recommend this laptop. I spent a lot of time researching what to get, starting from scratch, knowing nothing about laptops. It was a real education. I decided on this model, of many companies, because of the weight--2.8 pounds, length of battery time--14.3 to 21 hours, Dolby dual microphones, having 250 nits for brightness, a backlit keyboard, and not using PWM flicker, which causes eyestrain. This is a real gem:). It's fun to give things great ratings. I'm a 72 year old retired teacher.

Since so much of the material is presented online, it is required to bring a computer with you to class on campus. This ThinkPad is so convenient for on the go. It is super lightweight and incredibly fast to start up. I recommend this computer for ANY student or anyone that needs to travel with a laptop/ tablet. As always, Lenovo has satisfied every day use. As well, the weight of it, I can easily and if course carefully move it with one hand with very little effort. I've used it every day for studying and it works extremely fast. I enjoy the mouse toggle in the keyboard as well. Hands down the best laptop I've owned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Replacement for my old T440s Bought this T14s as a replacement for my ~7 year old T440s, which still works. For business productivity work, nothing beats this laptop for the price. It has a sturdy feel to it from keyboard to case without being heavy. One thing that jumped out at me was that white on this screen is white like a piece of printer paper. The same white on my old screen looks yellowish in comparison. One criticism is that the famous Thinkpad keyboard feels a little less comfortable than my old one. The keys feel "harder" compared to the old one. When running my finger over a key, it feels like the concave curve of the key is shallower, which I don't like. I still switch back to my old T440s for some tasks, and I prefer to type on that keyboard. All things considered, this is a high quality laptop in a market full of cheap garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PrivacyGuard ruined a great thing The T series is our go-to business laptop, but the PrivacyGuard display is truly terrible. Poor visibility at full brightness with direct viewing angle. This thing is so much privacy, you can't even see what you're doing. I returned this model for a refund due to privacy guard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Real Screamer This laptop replaces a Dell that I had for about 7 years. Windows 10 is great on this new Lenovo and it works flawlessly. I upgraded nearly everything on this machine and am very impressed and satisfied with the final product. It is very fast and has more than enough storage and RAM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worthy successor of the T4## series - recommended! The T14s (i7-10) is a long-awaited successor of my T450s (i5-5), which has diligently and reliably served me for almost 5y. Now that some keys have started flaking off letters, it was time for a replacement, even though everything is still working. Before, I have had a T420 and a T61, also those more than satsfactory. The new T14s is a lot slimmer than my T450s, which I hadn't realized until they were both seated on my desk: the difference is substantial, and so its weight loss, which will be welcome when traveling. Build quality is excellent, all parts fit snugly, hinges have the right amount of resistance. The bottom plate never gets hot, and the fan is never loud. The 4K screen is fantastically bright and with very saturated colors that predecessors were unable to achieve. Microscopy images never looked better, and the camera has a slider to block view, one thing I missed on my old ThinkPads. The keyboard is as before: class leading for long stints of frantic typing of science papers. The docking station is a bit different. Whereas the T450s simply clicks in place and is connected for charging and all other services that a docking station takes care of, the T14s need to be put in lace first, then connected by means of a slider. Forgetting the slider will not connect the dock, nor recharge. Another thing is that when docked, only one USB on the right-hand side is open for USB sticks, but that is were my Unifying Receiver goes. The USB at left is hidden by the dock, HDMI and ear/mic are accessible. Minor quibbles really, but still. À propos charging, battery time is vastly improved, from ~4h for my T450s (undegraded during its lifetime!) to at least 6h and probably longer - haven't had an occasion yet that completely drained my battery. Taking everything together, the new T14s 1st Generation is a very good replacement for my old T450s and its predecessors, for typical office tasks (eg. text processing, spreadsheets, multimedia presentations). It is a very light and most portable workhorse, no flimsiness at all, and expected to live up to its longevity expectations. I am very happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lenovo T14s Found the Lenovo T14s very light and portable, powerful enough to run my application needs, and very rugged. The ruggedness of the ThinkPad line have been a selling point for me for over 20 years of laptop purchases. Great product!

But the case designer put sharp edges on the case for appearance and obviously never bothered to find out that these dig painfully into the user's hands! Trying to decide whether to go to the trouble of returning it...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laptop for Student My son is a senior in high school and his Acer laptop tapped out. It only lasted 3 years, and the hard drive was replaced once. This Thinkpad seemed like good value after comparing with others. So far, so good, and he hasn't complained about it. Hopefully, it'll get him through college!
