The EHWB4-WH is designed to fit into the 16in on center (406mm) opening between studs in a standard 2in x 4in (51mm x 102mm) wall, making it suitable for both new work and old work applications. This versatile box features 4-gang standard NEMA size openings, accommodating power, communications, and A/V devices. Its cable pass-through capability allows multiple service access points to be daisy-chained together, eliminating the need for multiple conduit runs. The box includes a temporary cover, with the finished cover assembly (EHWB4C) sold separately. Available in both 4- and 8-gang versions, it provides maximum flexibility. The built-in tunnel and feed-through capability allow service feeds to be routed through the box, reducing the number of feeds required and installation time. The cover opens a full 180° and can be painted to blend with room decor. It includes an integrated handle, lock and key set for security, and a flush egress door for cabling. Designed to accept standard 1- to 4-gang device plates, the EHWB4-WH simplifies ordering and installation with no need for proprietary plates. It accepts Legrand AVIP devices and A/V devices from leading manufacturers. With 3 5/8in of space behind device plates, it provides the extra depth needed for wiring larger A/V devices. The box accepts trade size service feeds from 3/4in up to 2in, with removable and interchangeable knockout plates providing multiple options. It can be installed in both new work and old work installations without the need for new hardware. Both the 4- and 8-gang versions are designed to fit in a 16in opening between studs in a standard 2in x 4in wall. The finished interior eliminates the industrial look for upscale installations, while increasing visibility and making it easier to locate.
