After ten years and many flights and miles I am pleased to see I can get the exact same backpack. All the zippers still work. And there is room enough for three days an Spirit let’s me claim it as my “personal item”. Let’s hope the next one is just as good.

Great backpack
I am an adult that is going to college later in life. This thing is wonderful. Plenty of padded space for my giant laptop, and another spot for my kindle. Plenty of space for my books and loads of little pockets for stuff that you always need, pencils, pens, excedrin, water bottle, you name it. Also the handle is sturdy, mine is loaded down daily and its showing no signs of wear and tear. I'm very happy with this backpack, if it ever wears out, I will definitely buy another one

Awesome backpack ! Looks cool, well made and is very functional. I looked at a couple of them in stores and thought most of them were a tad on the cheap side. Glad I waited and ordered this one. It is a keeper !

Very nice backpack for school
Purchased for my 17 yr old nephew. Very nice looking & heavily padded for comfort & protection of contents. It should be able to hold his school supplies, 17" laptop, phone, earphones, etc very easily.

Very pleased with this back pack
This pack is super for traveling. Has enough space for two lap tops, keyboard, mouse and tablet! Plus I had notebook and pens. Got somewhat heavy but with both straps on in was very easy to transport around. I would recommend this back pack for any student or traveler.

I had gotten this bag for 58 dollars and i seen it in best buy for 99.99 i got this bag and i love it. it has many compartments and is very comfortable to wear and makes it seem like it is weightless. its a great bag and is defiantly recommended.

Durable and Attractive Notebook Transportation
The SwissGear IBEX GA-7316-06F00 Carrying Case (Backpack) for 17" Notebook - Blue, I purchased to carry my ENVY17 is excellent protection and portability in a smart-looking package. In addition to the heavily padded compartment for my notebook, there are several other pockets for computer accessories, books and papers, pens, candy bars and cup cakes. And finally there are two mesh baskets, one on either side, to carry water, sport drinks or beer. The exterior design, materials, zippers, straps and carry handle are easy care, durable, comfortable and good looking.

Best Laptop
I ordered this bag from Bestbuy and was surprised with how big and comfortable this bag is. I am a full time college student and commute to classes via city transportation, so I find the amount of padding and the upright feature refreshing. There is ample storage compartments for everything I need to bring to the college for the day. The mp3 compartment with the earbud cord port is fantastic for keeping mp3 player safe and dry. The one issue I have is that the mini storage areas in the compartments aren't really student or business friendly. They lack places to store pens/pencils. I always recommend this backpack when people ask me what kind of laptop bag they should get.

Great for students
I am a senior in high school. I have evethything in my backpack. A 2liter water bottle, my lunch bag, notebooks, books, and sometimes my 17in laptop. Everything fits perfectly, it becomes a little heavy but does not feel as heavy. I have traveled with this to several places and evrything I need fits perfectly. I think it will be great for college next year.

Good Strong Backpack
This backpack is very sturdy and has good reinforcement. I have used several backpacks and none have had this level of reinforcement. I strongly recommend this backpack for anyone who requires or wants a sturdy reinforced backpack for their laptop.

Great Backpack
I love this backpack, it is a great buy and I would definitely recommend it to others. I have an Asus G73 and it is incredibly hard to find anything that this behemoth will fit it, but it fits comfortable into this Swissgear back. So if you have an over-sized laptop or just want a lot of storage space (and pockets, lots and lots of pockets) this is the one for you.

SwissGear Backpack for 17" Notebook
This is a great bag with lots of convenient pockets including a separate padded section for the laptop. This is the second SwissGear backpack that I have bought. I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident (truck pulled a U-turn in my face) and the paramedics cut the bag and all of my clothing off me. However, the laptop survived as did the rest of the contents. I did not hesitate to buy another SwissGear backpack to replace it.

What a Great Buy!
After a short delay due to being out of stock, I ordered this backpack. After I received it and started loading my laptop, pen tablet, external hard drive, embroidery card reader, and all the related accessories and power cords, I loved it all over again! Everything is all in one nice neat package. I even have room for my planner, a notebook, and a healthy snack! (Sorry, there's not enough room for the kitchen sink, but pretty close!) My nephew, a computer technologist at a major company, told me "You'd better watch your backpack carefully! I might have to steal it! It's my dream backpack!" Made me feel like I'd hit the jackpot! Thanks again for a great product!

first laptop recently purchased and i needed a bag that was able to handle the rigors of construction trades. so far this bag is solid. good size, nice features, handles on top are great, straps are comfortable. this should take plenty of travel in and out of trucks and job sites with no problem.

Not for 17" notebooks
My HP 17" notebook stuck about 1.5 inches above the protective material, with the top edge of the computer, and especially the corners, pressing against the zipper when the compartment was zipped shut. I have traveled across the States and to Europe twice a year for almost 20 years. This computer would not be protected from the many "hazards" that are part of a normal trip. Such as rolling top first off of a car seat onto the floor when the car needed to make a sudden stop; being pushed off a conveyor belt during airport security check; slipping off my shoulder when bumped in congested areas; having to be checked at the gate because the small plane was full and watching baggage workers tossing it onto a cart, etc. The Targus sold by HP is a perfect fit. The SwissGear is well made, but not for a 17" monitor.

Strong but a little tight
After 5 years, my old Targus PC Backpack is pretty worn out so while buying a new PC, I bought this pack offered on the HP website. It is well-built with lots of pockets. It is a little smaller than my old one and the HP 17.3 Envy just barely fits. So far, a good pack.

All around an excellent backpack.
We use these backpacks for all of our IT staff, and we love them. The quality put in this backpack is top notch, very durable and can carry many items including larger laptops, notebooks, cables and tools. There is a lot of padding built in so it gives a lot of support when carrying items. They have built this backpack with many pockets, so there is plenty of room to organize your thing. All around an excellent backpack.

Room for everything
I have had one of these since 2008. When I was looking for a backpack style computer bag I went with this one because of the number of compartments and pockets. I generally like to carry everything but the kitchen sink with me and this bag has room for it all. I have recommended this bag to multiple people at the company I work for and have been able to convince 6 others to order one and all have been happy with the purchase. Four years after my original purchase the wear and tear from excessive travel has finally won out but I like the bag so much that I just ordered another of the same to replace my existing one. If you need a computer bag that looks good and has lots of room you can't go wrong with this one.

Was a 5 start bag, now a 3 star bag
TLDR: Bag design change without item # change, CDW picture doesn't match new design, cost cutting design changes, new design not as good or as well built as the original when it comes to heavy duty use.
This bag had its design changed from the original, it is no longer as pictured on the CDW website. Even though there is a clear design change between the old and new design there was no change of the item sku or name.
The newer design bags you can see all the cost cutting measures they took to increase their profit when comparing to original design. There is everything from a smaller diameter cable integrated into the bag handle at the top to less material between the zipper space of the bag. I would love to attach photos to illustrate this but it appears CDW does not have the capability for it.
For average use this is still a good bag but if you're someone like me that carries around 30lbs of stuff in your bag, I suggest you look elsewhere for a larger design.
On a side note however, I know it goes with the time today but it's upsetting to see how much they cut costs in the newer bag design. Sure, they added some "nice" new features but to change it this drastically; When I saw the first design many months ago I didn't actually compare it to the older design. My first impressions were "wow cool they updated it, added x,y,z" and at first I liked the newer design. It wasn't until I tried to replace my older design bag which is more than 5 years old with this newer design did I really begin to see what cost cutting measures they took in the new design. In short this new design will not fit all the same exact stuff in the bag that the older design does.
