The Brother® MFC-L8610CDW, all-in-one printer incorporates multiple device functions such as printing, copying, and scanning to offer centralized document production in an office setting. It supports Ethernet™, USB, Wi-Fi®, and Wi-Fi Direct to provide flexible connectivity options to PCs and local area networks. An alphanumeric keypad and a touch screen display on the Brother MFC-L8610CDW, multifunction, color printer give quick and easy access to the menu functions.

It has a standard capacity of 300 sheets to mean fewer refill intervals. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall Pleased There are many features I like including the top loading scanner, multi use paper tray, double sided and duplex printing, easy setup, and mobile printing. There does however seem to be a delay in the start and during printing/scanning functions. This may be something where I can change a few settings for better performance. I've found that if I scan as black and white it appears to function incredibly faster (faster than I'd expect with only change being switching from color. However on the printing alone, I'm a little stumped on the delay. That does interfere with the 33 ppm output. Overall, I'm pleased enough with the other features that I'm not going to let the delay be an issue.

My toner costs have been reduced by at least 75% from my previous printer by another maker. While this printer is slightly slower to warm up and start printing, once started, it is very fast and makes up for this very slight delay. I believe I have found my "forever" printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent All-In-One Laser for Home & Small Office After reviewing various consumer product rating publications I selected this Brother MFC-L8610CDW based on both predicted reliability and features. I'm glad I did - it is working great as my primary home printer/scanner. I have two computers (one iMac and one MacBook Air connected to the printer via WiFi. I did have to reinstall the Brother driver software and fiddle a bit to get the scanner button on the device to connect with my computers. The trick was to make sure, when you attempt the first scan from the MFC-L8610CDW, to go back to your computer and pres "accept" on the two firewall security messages that will show up. After that, everything worked great!

I do wish the printer would print a little faster as I print a lot of documents. I have not had a problem with it but then again I have only own it for 2 months.

This one doesn't have quite the photo printing ability as did the other color laser, but this one is way faster, handles paper better, and is cheaper by far to operate. I had to make 200 copies recently and was surprised as to how fast a relatively small printer could do the job. This is my second Brother laser printer, but this performs much better than the one I had 10 years ago. Okay, get it? I'm impressed.

It is a fast machine for printing, scanning, and copying. Overall it is just an excellent machine. The toner lasts a long time and it looks like toner is inexpensive to replace. It has been easy to link wirelessly to multiple computers in the home and we have had no problems printing or scanning. The only knock I would have is that the paper tray is a bit small at 250 sheets, however, I could not take a star off because the manual says that you can add trays up to over 1000 page capacity.

Now copies and scans are in color which adds a terrific dimension. I also like the auto feed feature which allows multiple pages to be scanned rather than manually feeding one page at a time into the system.

This printer is no exception. The only negative I have about this printer is that it won't do automatic duplex scanning. You have to duplex scan manually. Other than that, this is a terrific printer.

Print commands from the computer and the set up on printer for 2 sided printing do not guarantee the printer will print a 2 sided document. It is very frustrating to waste paper as the printer does not default to 2 sided printing even after many tries. Brother as a manufacturer should patch the software drivers to allow for more user friendly 2 sided printing set up.

The day I received the printer, I took it out of the box, plugged it into the wall, hooked it up to the network, and it worked perfectly But this would not remain the case The very next day, the printer could not find the network and no laptops could find the pinter. Nothing changed, it just simply went offline. I spent days troubleshooting, rebooting, looking online, making sure it was not my network, etc. Than one day, it reappears. From here, we had this battle every few days. I was constantly rebooting it, reentering the network and so forth. This printer is also very very very slow. It takes forever to receive data, and when it finally does, it prints at a snails pace. The color when it comes out is also terrible, often times leaving streaks everywhere. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER

If I could change one thing, I would have the document feeder be capable of duplex copying - the old machine had that function. This was you must use the flatbed to copy one side, then flip over and copy the back side.

Works great for printing 1 or 2 documents. But for my business and needing to print in multiples both color and black&white, machine hangs up keep saying "processing data". Even when trying to delete from the printer it hangs up with "Deleting Data" and never clear the cach. It printed the same document all night over and over.

We commonly need to print using limited paper supply and this printer will have no issues printing to the last piece of paper in the tray. Prints full color pages quite well, with no streaking or other common issues.

I am disappointed in the printing of envelopes because the input tray takes priority for all printing, so I have to insert an envelope each time that I want to print one. Otherwise, when I am trying to print a full page, it will try to print on the envelope. Scanning works well. Everything OK after just one month.

Warranty took care of the problem, which was a simple reset. I would recommend this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good unit but has some minor issues I love the quality of the printing, scanning and copying. I love the automatic document feeder. However I do have some issues with the scanner in that it does not scan the entire 8.5 inch width of the paper. It cuts off about an eighth of an inch on both sides. When scanning a hand written document one has to be careful not to write to the edge of the paper. I also have a design issue. It is that the MP tray output exits to the rear of the machine rather than the front where the tray 1 printed output goes. It also tends to put a curl on card stock which is not serious but not convenient either. Between the MP input tray and MP output tray, it adds significantly to the footprint of the unit and complicates where to situate it. I suspect that the reason for the design of the MP tray in put and output was to keep the unit short enough to remain a desktop model rather than one that needs to be put on the floor or a short table. I guess you take the bad with the good. Over all I like the unit and its performance.

It is a great printer and I have no problem recommending it to anyone. Also, your technical support team is great. We had a problem with a paper jam right after we received the printer and they methodically and patiently worked with us to clear it. Thanks for keeping the quality up in all aspects.

The scan function took a little time to figure out, especially when the target for the scan is a remote computer; but once understood, the scanner works flawlessly. The copy function is good, but I do wish it had greater flexibility in enlargements or reductions sizing.

One of the first things I look for is toner cost and this printer is on the lower side as far as toner cost. Output quality is great and wifi use was an added bonus. Being a small business, we do NOT lease therefore we need to buy what we need. Had a different manufacturer product and got almost four years out of it. Was disappointed from the beginning that machine was complicated to operate. Our new Brother MFC-L8610CDW acts and functions more like the commercial machines I am use to using. Smooth scans, no matter what the original thickness is (4 year machine hung 50% of the time scanning 3-part documents, it did not like the thickness.)

Once it is set to the quiet mode the sound level is OK. One aggravation I have not found a solution to is getting checks to print from the MP feeder. I have tried a dozen different suggestions and QBP checks try to print horizontally. I would have returned this if I could have for this reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from D Sampson 042021 This brand came recommended and I was eager to try a laser printer in my home office for the first time. Set up was easy and output was crisp and clean. The first issue came when I tried to print 2-sided which resulted in a tumble print vs head to head. The second issue came when using the ADF for the first time. First issue was resolved by downloading a different print driver - which was new for me — my question being why was this necessary and why wasn’t I instructed to do that during initial setup? Still working on the second issue. While the Brother Support site helped resolve the first issue, it was not for the second.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1 Month and Already Broken Only 1 month in use and already broken. Called Brother for Warranty and HORRIBLE! TWO HOURS on the phone making you try different things on the printer to FINALLY tell you ok we will send you a REFURB! Now the problem is it's been several days and no tracking no confirmation for ticket or trouble. Would never buy another brother printer again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very sharp printing. Crumples envelopes I have one Brother printer that does a perfect job with envelopes. My two higher cost machines crumple them. I print a fair amount of postage so this is a disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Duplex? Good quality printing, but no duplex (2-sided) scanning. Just duplex printing. The features description on the box and online needs to be clearer about that. e.g., "Automatic duplex printing. (single-sided scanning)"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Excellent Workhorse We've used this printer for a couple of years and absolutely love it. The only issue is that it does not duplex scan. Other than that one issue, it an absolute workhorse ready to print anyway we want, scan and fax. It makes the office run much smoother!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product not fulfilling expectations Not what we thought it would be: Ink runs out much quicker than we thought it would. Sometimes things print long after we send them which ends up wasting paper because we reprint thinking it didn't go through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Connectivity issues The process of getting 4 office computers set up to connect with this printer is way more complicated then it should be. Multiple tech support calls in to Staples Tech Support (where we bought the printer from and bought the tech support warranty as well) ended up advising us the DOWNGRADE our internet service from 5G to 2.4G as this printer is not used to such high end internet speed. I'm still confused on that ...... meanwhile connectivity issues still exist Our relation ship status with this printer? ..... It's complicated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This would be 5 stars if it scanned in duplex. Prints great, amazin ad integration to store scans on my nas. But the fact that it doesnt actually scan via the adf in duplex makes adf scanning virtually useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BLACK LINE-BEWARE Black line appeared after 4 months in use only when using print from feed. Followed all directions to clean. Webiste has videos and the compartment near the white guard on the inside cover does not open per video. It is not manufactured as videos indicate. The AIO has to be physically brought to an authorized repair and they claim it is not covered under the general warranty. Good luck finding that warranty on the website. So now I have to physically carry it out of the office? Hire a strong man? Had an IT person set up initial installation for 7-person office. Too difficult to set up double-sided printing, options are minimal. Copying from glass cuts off edges. Not a great solution, but a cheap one.

The speed of printing is not the fastest medium sized print jobs of < 50 pages take quite a long time to complete the printing. The document scanner does not handle duplex document automatically. For a printer of this size the paper tray should hold a full ream of paper which it does not, which means for a busy office a lot of paper fills are needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from STAY AWAY FROM BROTHER PRINTERS!!VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Stay away from Brother Printer, It's a a BAD BAD PURCHASE. I just recently purchased a Brother MFC-L3770CDW printer, and paid almost $600. The black toner went out in few prints. I hardly printed like 50 pages. LOL. And after emailing the customer service multiple times, they said you would have to buy new toner. I just bought two laser printers from other brands, never had any issue. So, stay away, they have zero customer service. BAD PURCHASE!! DISAPPOINTED!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead after update! It was working great until the last update. Very dossapointing! The support denied the problem, as it's out of warranty. BROTHER, it is your update which killed my printer! Do something, the printer is quite expensive.
