Definitely not battlefield protection but better than nothing at all which is what would happen if the cases were more substantial and therefore more bulky.

It does come with a foam sleeve for added protection. I saw another newer Dell cover on your website but I guess it's either out of stock or not available yet, and it appears to be waterproof.

The zipper closure ensures that the contents will stay in the sleeve. And the material of the sleeve is good protection yet slim enough for me to put this in my backback when traveling.

It provides some padding and protection for the laptop when carrying it around (protection from bumping the laptop into something, protection from spills, etc.). In my view the sleeve is "good" but not as good as the sleeves Dell sold with their XPS 13s during 2015. That's when I purchased my prior Dell, and it also came with a sleeve. The prior sleeve was a bit sturdier, and it closed with a magnetic tab rather than a zipper. The magnetic tab is faster to open and never wears out, which makes me like it better than the zippered version. Nevertheless, this seems like an ok sleeve and I like to have something that's a good fit for the laptop when I carry it around.

There is a good bit of movement and the XPS 13 laptop still slides around inside this sleeve. Given that this sleeve is a Dell product and designed specifically for the XPS 13 laptop I am a bit shocked that it does not fit better. Thus marking it down 1 star.

The sleeve for the 2 in 1 is ver light and can fit perfectly protecting both the computer and pen in place. Good Buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dell XPS 13 Essential Sleeve It a good sleeve with a soft neoprene liner. I was hoping it would fit more snugly around the XPS 13. There is a good bit of movement and the XPS 13 laptop still slides around inside this sleeve. Given that this sleeve is a Dell product and designed specifically for the XPS 13 laptop I am a bit shocked that it does not fit better. Thus marking it down 1 star.
