Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome printer! I am extremely happy with this new printer!! It does use up a lot of ink in initial start up..so be prepared to pay another $400 for back up ink..other then that..its an awesome printer..and the ink does last out a long time ...I give 5 stars!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not working out for me I bought this printer a month ago and the first one didn't work and I had to send it back. Got a replacement and am having nothing but trouble with it. Support is sketchy. I'm really wanting to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big mistake buying this printer First off I also own a Epson HD XP-15000 that I love and get professional results from that printer. I figured with the P700, and for the money, I’d get at least noticeable better prints with this printer, that’s simply not the case with this printer, even though this printer uses 10 cartridges rather then 6 like on my HD -XP15000. My I’m doing something wrong,I use the highest settings, and still get sub bar prints. Also, for some reason I can’t print 4x6, 5x7 or 8x10 boarderless prints with the P700 when I try to use the “maximum quality” setting, don’t understand why, perhaps with that setting I would get better results. Unless there’s a update coming to fix that. Still , I fell like I wasted my money with this printer…sorry Epson..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from mediocre print quality Bought the printer Oct 2021. I replace an R2000 which was a wonderful printer. One of the uses was to print art cards of my wife's artwork on matte finish paper. The R2000 cards were magnificent: vibrant and full of life. The cards coming out of the P700 are flat. No contrast,, no brilliance, and are unusable. I tried dozens of combinations of settings to no avail. When I complained to Epson as I got was it was the medias fault, I was not using epson paper. I tried a sheet of their Presentation Paper Matte. and the results were just as bad. Then early this year the printer paper feed broke and they replaced the printer with a refurbished one which produces the same result. The attached photos are of the card quality: the top are out of the P700 and the lower from the R2000. I will say that the images that come out of the P700 when printing on glossy photo paper are really wonderful. But on any other media it is very poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding! I have now had this printer for a year. I love it. I had an R2880 before and it was capable of good quality prints, but it was difficult to make that happen. I no longer have to switch black ink cartridges between glossy and matt finishes. The 2 new software additions are game changers for ease of printing something exhibition quality. First the Media installer allows for having paper types and ICC profiles loaded and ready to go. Then the Epson Print Layout program is wonderful. My workflow has become to export to a particular folder from Lightroom. Then drag the image into the Layout program and starting at the top go down the page making the proper selections and hitting print at the bottom. A perfect print every time! I never had this much success before. The parameters were spread all over the place between Lightroom or photoshop and the printer driver and its pages. Forgetting to change a setting was too common and wasteful of ink. Also, this printer doesn't seem to clog, or, maybe I am just using it more? Very Happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pictures but too many feeding problems. I have used a Stylus R1800 for several years but could not seem to keep the ink from clogging, so, I bit the bullet and bought a new SureColor P700. My prints, literally all of them were superior to what I had been getting on R-1800 so I was a happy camper. Then the feeding problems began. Feeding 8.5x11 heavy fine art papers required up to 10 or so tries to get it to work. Tried all the suggestions given by tech support, mostly to no avail. Finally got it to work somewhat better by making sure that the input to the printer was done primarily from the computer and not worrying too much what the printer settings are. Then the most frustrating feeding problem descended on me. 4x6 glossy prints started to jam. I admit that I was using Costco photo paper but I had never had any trouble with it before and it saved me money on printing basically just snapshots. Had a run of 45 snapshots to print and the paper jammed on me seven times. Each time making a mess with the ink pooling on the paper. I really wanted to be able to do my own prints. Not to sell them but just because I liked the idea of printing a pix and if I didn't like it I could immediately print another. Kind of wisjh I had just gone wikth a lab now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Are You Kidding? I had this printer in my cart ready to go before I found out the initial cartridges are basically empty after the printer initialiizes and I'd need to immediately buy $400 of inks. That makes this a $1,200 printer. No, thank you. Epson, that's going a bit too cheap for most of us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from replaced my R3000 very easy setup. was printing in 30 mins and most of that time was letting the printer do it's initializing and priming. Love Epson colors! And I got a $200 rebate from Epson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks very good - first impressions I only received the printer a week ago and gave it a bit of a run, and it looks and performs great. It replaces a R3000 and this one appears to be more intuitive to use and more flexible in term of papers and inks. Not cheap, but it performs, for now, very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer. I had to replace my P400 and the P700 was suggested. I prints beautifully and is very quiet. My biggest complaint is the cost of the ink...wow. Not sure if I will be able to afford it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Feeding problems I am a loyal Epson customer. I purchased this to replace my Epson P2000 and I am beyond frustrated at the time wasted in feeding paper into this printer. It is just awful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful prints, when it works I'm an artist running a print shop & I probably do 10-15 prints a day on average. I've been using this model since 2020? I believe and I'm on my 6th one. Some have been replaced under warranty, but today my replacement failed. The nearest repair center is 200 miles away, and between the shipping costs and track record of the printer, it's not worth fixing. I keep a back up of the same model on hand at all times because I know they're going to fail. Print head issues, feed problems, uneven margins, etc. It's hard to switch models or makers when I have thousands in Epson paper and ink stock on hand at any given time. I basically have to budget 2 printers a year. Very disappointing after my Stylus 1800 lasted over 5 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good printer at first, but didn't even last a year I bought this printer less than a year ago and used it to print about 50 holiday greeting cards on 305gsm, matte paper. It worked very nicely, feeding the paper flawlessly. I don't use this printer frequently, so I print a Print Head Nozzle Check once a week to keep the ink nozzles clear. When I tried to print more of the greeting cards again recently (same paper) I found that the paper pickup would not feed the paper. The pickup roller just spins on the paper, leaving a dark skid mark. I don't understand why the same paper now won't feed. Perhaps the pickup roller has dried out after less than a year? In any case, when I read the Epson warranty, it specifically excludes pickup rollers from coverage. So, I now have a very expensive, useless, brick with some very expensive, useless, spare ink cartridges (did I mention it goes through ink pretty fast?). Ugh. Be very careful if considering this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer, Link to Amazon will Yields Fraud I followed the where to buy link from the Epson web site to Amazon. I place my order for the P700. During setup I found out that the units sold by Amazon are grey market. Illegal for use in the United States. They come with no warranty or $200 rebate. Now I am trying to get my money back from Amazon. There is no mention on the Amazon site that the printer is not for sale in the US or Canada.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for only a year - then failed 14 months ago, after months of online research, I decided to buy this printer for my art business. It was a very important (and expensive) purchase for my Small Business. Not only was the printer itself really expensive, but the cost of the ink was also very high (I purchased about 3 sets of cartridges over the past year, know that each set is around $400). I did like this printer a lot - the prints were crisp and the colors were true to my art. However - unfortunately, my printer just started not working correctly anymore. It would start pulling the paper in, printing my art, but then the last inch of the paper was not being pulled in anymore and the rest of the print was just a messy smudge. I first tried to take all of the usual maintenance steps myself to see if it would help, but it did not. I eventually called Epson's Customer Support Team this week. After about an hour over the phone trying different things, the Customer Support Representative ended up telling me that my printer had a hardware failure and essentially needed to be replaced (???). Since I was just out of my warranty window, I was told my printer would not be replaced by a new one. So - my $800+ supposedly professional Epson printer fails AFTER JUST 14 MONTHS and Epson tells me they can't do anything about it... Now I have a useless printer sitting in my office, useless ink cartridges sitting next to it, useless high quality paper also sitting there, and I have to subcontract my print jobs to a local printer in town (which I was trying to avoid in the first place because I prefer having control over the quality of my work).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enxcleent printer, good support I had an Epson Stylus Pro for more than 15 years and though it printed beautiful colour when I could get all the settings right, it finally woiuld not accept the paper and purchased the new P700 printer. There was no problem setting it up - both printed an online instructions are clear. The first print was beautiful, and quite close to the image in the screen. The secret is to use the Epson print app, so easy yet flexible. Downloadable free.
