This is a wonderful bag; convenient to carry, stores all my school items, and stores my charger and laptop. I went with this bag because it has a really nice nylon material that will survive well in the rain. Although I got this with rewards, I'd happily pay full price for this bag. Absolutely phenomenal.

I've carried it to and from work every day and haven't seen any wear on it so far. I'm not thrilled with the feel of the material but it is pleasantly water-resistant and does look quite nice. For the price I'm very satisfied.

I was loaned one to use with my work computer and loved it so much that when I left that job, I had to get online and find another one! Soft shoulder pad on arm strap so doesn't dig into your shoulder no matter how heavy the bag is; also easy soft handle same way. Well padded for electronics too. Highly recommended!

It's the perfect size to use on my desk at work and easily carry home. The keyboard is very comfortable. I have short, stubby fingers and this keyboard has plenty of room to type without constantly hitting the wrong key. Highly recommend!

I also purchased the 15.6-in Essential Messenger bag to be able to travel with the computer. The bag is designed for the laptop computer and fits perfectly. It is easy to access, light, and can be hand carried or shouldered. It is convenient in that I can access and store the computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended Very pleased with the laptop and service. The screen came with a thin, dirty looking line down the inside from top to bottom. I was asked to email a photo, the phone tech rep was easy to reach, polite, and helpful, and the service rep arrived promptly with a replacement. All is well, the machine is very powerful and fast, with sharp 4K screen, and comfortable keys. I use my laptops for graphics, online training development, and photography, and recommend computer equipment to friends and a couple of businesses. Over the past couple of years, in all cases, after extensively researching all brands, I've ended up choosing Lenovo because they've had the best prices, best choices of options, best added warranty plans, and at least comparable quality to other top contenders. In this case, the final choice was between another Alienware and this Thinkpad. I wanted the "cool lights" and am bored with square, black laptops, but Lenovo offered better options and--the deal decider--much lower cost for extended warranty and accidental damage coverage, while Dell seems to penalize Alienware buyers, perhaps assuming that everyone will overstress with game playing or otherwise abuse their machines. The higher cost is unfortunate, because gaming machines can be good also for graphics professionals. While researching, I spoke with numerous reps. Lenovo sales reps and tech support people were consistently more professional, helpful, and understandable. Ironically, Lenovo U.S. premier support is located in one of the U.S. southern states, while the Dell people I talked to were in Asia, hard to reach, and frustratingly difficult to comprehend. (I've worked frequently in Asia and haven't typically had that problem. I still sense the IBM legacy at Lenovo. Service and product feel more geared toward professional and business users. For any buyer, that can be a plus, because businesses can typically receive more consideration and better service. I hope Lenovo will continue in that "quality and service" direction. I'm not fond of Lenovo's reward program. Rewards expire much too soon. And I ended up choosing a "Brand D" monitor, but with Lenovo service and prices tending to be better, I purchased other peripherals from Lenovo's site and recommend them as a good place to shop.

The bag has a divider with a special pocket with a velcro closure to keep my new Lenovo 15.6" laptop safe and secure. I keep a plastic base on the other side of the divider that has a pull-out pad for my mouse. The flap has a zip pocket. Inside there are smaller pockets for a mouse, thumb drives, cords, pens and pencils, etcs. The handles are substantial for carrying with your hand or on your shoulder. I have nothing but praise for this laptop bag.

I knew for the price I wasn't getting anything fancy, but I figured it would at least be functional. The plastic square ring that's meant to hold the straps rotates 90 degrees on both sides instantly and squeezes the strap in on itself. The plastic zippers pop apart if you actually put anything in the pockets.

It's clearly still some type of polyester cloth and if anything it seems higher quality than the cloth on the rest of the bag. Lenovo's official eBay listing provides higher resolution pictures and it's exactly the bag I received. Anyway I was just looking for a thin messenger bag with a decently padded laptop sleeve, some pen holders, and a well-secured flap. This delivers while looking pretty good to boot. The adjustable shoulder strap is also comfortable and a good length at its maximum adjusted size.

It's sturdy, light, affordable enough to get entirely or mostly with Lenovo Rewards points if you buy a laptop, and I like how it doesn't stand out at all. Just another black messenger bag. Its quality and lack of remark-ability is actually its strength, and I really can't say it has any obvious weaknesses/issues.

While my new ThinkPad 15.6" Essential Messenger carrying case has probably been my 2nd most needed & useful purchase of 2023, right behind my new laptop that it's carrying, I have found it to be slightly lacking in the "quality" department. Thankfully, none of the bag's flimsier features have broken yet. In fact, as long as I keep an extra close eye on the parts I think could cause problems somewhere down the line, I should be able to keep the case in near perfect condition for at least the first year. However, due to the seemingly cheap quality of some of the bag's more heavily used parts (IE: the large clasp/clip holding the internal section containing my laptop closed inside of the bag) coming apart within the first 12 to 18 months. That's really the only reason I gave this bag a 4-star rating instead of a perfect score. That being said, I do really like how lightweight the bag is while still having plenty of space to hold my 15.6" Lenovo laptop as well as my wide assortment of various computer chargers, mouses, USB adapters and other various accessories. Again, it's hard for me to hold this against the bag manufacturer since the bag in it's entirety cost under $27 before using my Lenovo Points and only $1.88 after using a large chunk of my customer reward points. It's definitely a very comfortable bag that almost makes up for a potentially short life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A sturdy bag The shoulder strap was really set in the bottom of the bag. for a few days i thought there wasn't a shoulder strap, but it's in there. Fit's my needs. I just wanted something to hold my thinkpad if I travel with it. Has more storage space than i plan to use. Build and materials seem sturdy. If I were using this for work I may have gone with a bag with more pockets or a backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ThinkPad 15.6-inch Essential Messenger Great quality and the price was perfect after reward points. It is lighter but it is study compared to my Dell messenger. Plenty of storage for other folders and files and side zip up storage for all my chargers, phone and mouse.
